"We had Reliant come out to perform the standard inspection and tune-up on our A/C system at the beginning of the summer. They showed up on time, were professional" and courteous, and completed the work as expected. No recommendations for additional parts or service were made. Exactly 1 week later however, our A/C stopped working in the middle of the night. I called Reliant at 6am and spoke with their answering service, who indicated that someone would be out that morning. I stayed home from work and watched the thermostat start to climb. A few hours later when I had not seen or heard from Reliant I called back and it was clear they had not received any message from their answering service and it was as if I hadn't called at all. The earliest they would be able to come out to check our A/C would be 48 hours later. It was already 85 degrees inside our house and it was still early in the day so waiting was not an option. I found their lack of urgency surprising - they had just inspected our system a week before and didn't seem at all concerned that it had now quit completely. I ended up calling another provider who came out to fix it the same day. Although we were satisfied with Reliant's initial work, we were very disappointed in the follow-up. The whole point of getting our A/C inspected and tuned up was to avoid having a break down and when it did break down so soon after their visit, we would have expected them to promptly return and figure out what they missed.

"I pay yearly. When the service person comes out you have to pay them $75 for each service. If you need a furnace replaced or an air conditioner replaced they do" it. Sometimes when they are replacing a major product, they'll give you an allowance or they'll replace it and so then it gets tricky because what happens is, if the company that is doing the work always has to bring something up to code, so then you incur a lot of expenses for incidental stuff but we are doing this in case we have a catastrophe. When you call them, they take care of it right away or when you go online, you get information as to who they are going to send right away. I guess, just listening to your complaint and giving you an answer.

  • The owner, Provider name locked. , came to light the pilot light on our furnace. He said it wasn't safe and that we needed a new one. We sat down to discuss our options. He told us "all our options" and then let us decide, "no pressure". We opted to replace the whole system. The very next day the installers came and installed the system. The installers were very polite, helped me with any questions, showing how to work the new thermostat, etc. Two days later we had some more questions about the price, we called the office and left a message for Provider name locked. to call. Our phones went out that night so he couldn't get through to us. He made a special trip to our house to answer our questions. He is a good and honest man. We would recommend him and his company to all our friends and family.
