  • The salesperson was very good in working with us in response to our insurance claim for our previously damaged floors.  He helped us to understand the pros and cons of laminate versus engineered hardwood flooring and we selected the latter for our new floors.  Overall we were very pleased with the sales process as they made it easy in coming to our home the weekend after we requested an appointment.
As a first-time homeowner, I've never undergone a construction zone in my own home before so I really didn't know what to expect.  The demolition day was a little hectic but the team at Provider name locked. was professional and helped to coach me through that process.  The installation took 3 days but the end result was more than worth it as the floors look incredible.  Our installation team even painted at no additional charge around our fireplace where the new wood floors came in a little lower than before and so that area needed some touch-up paint.
My wife and I ultimately chose this company because of the good reviews here on Angie's list.  We were willing to pay maybe a little more than we would have had we gone with an independent contractor and discount flooring warehouses because we wanted a reputable company who would back their product.  What we got from Provider name locked. was a professional company focused on our customer satisfaction and a very high quality final product in our new wood floors.  If you want a similar experience choose this company.

  • He knew that the floors installed by the prior owner in another room were cupping and had high moisture content. He installed the new floors saying they should be fine. He did not test (or at least that he told us) the subfloor for moisture content prior to doing the installation, nor did he advise us to take any actions to address moisture from the crawl space prior to installing the floors.
Once the new floors started cupping also, he came back to look at them and test the moisture content which was high. We did not have 1 day of rain in the 45 days between his installation and when the floors had high moisture content and no leaks in the crawl space.
We had an air conditioning vendor in the crawl space and they advised us that the subfloor had gaps so large that they could see the tar paper that had been laid under the hard wood floors. This obviously should have been corrected prior to the installation of the new floors, especially with the knowledge of what was happening in the other room.
I don't know if a gap was left for expansion around the rooms, or if he could have done a different moisture Provider name locked. , but blindly installing the new floors as if they were going to be fine seems like a poor choice.
The owner is a nice guy, but I think he needs a new crew who care more about the customer. They were rude and obviously only cared about getting paid, not doing a quality job for the customer or addressing issues they should have been aware of.

  • Provider name locked. was very professional, knowledgeable and had a lot of great suggestions.  His bid was very straightforward and was essentially what we ended up paying in the end (no unexpected fees/charges).  Installing wood floors is his and his crews forte -- when it came to installing them they knew EXACTLY what to do in order to get the job done correctly the first time.  The crew was very respectful, clean, hard workers and they all spoke English -- double bonus in my book since I could ask any of them questions and actually get answers!  I would highly recommend using Provider name locked. and his crew on your future flooring project.
