  • I got my hair cut by Provider name locked. . She did a great job with the shampoo/scalp massage - probably around 5 minutes (possibly even more) at the shampoo bowl. She made sure the water was comfortable and didn't talk too much (I've had some hair stylists who talk non-stop). She made polite, light conversation.
After the shampoo, we went over to the styling chair. She asked what I wanted and she also made a point to ask what I didn't want - something I've never experienced before! I usually forget to mention I don't want a face frame, but because she asked, I remembered this time!
During the haircut, she was constantly checking the length to make sure it was even. About 10 minutes later, she was finished with the cut and tells me that after she dries my hair, we can still make some minor changes if I want her to. After she dried my hair and styled it, it looked great!
During the cut and style, she asked questions about how I typically wear my hair. She was nice when I told her it's usually in a pony tail. When I told her I'd like to be able to curl it but can't get my hair to hold a curl, she made a recommendation. Usually, I'm skeptical about stylists making product recommendations because they tend to be quite expensive! However, upon getting to the Provider name locked. , Provider name locked. pointed to a bowl with small sample/travel size products and said the product she was recommending was in there for only $5. This was great because I'll get to actually try the product without investing a lot of money if I wind up not liking it!
All in all, it was a great visit with a great stylist who really knows what she's doing. I will definitely go back to see her again.

  • This was my first time using a professional colorist. I paid extra to have a Master Student (just shy of graduation) work on me. She was running late so I waited about an hour past my appointment. Then my student came to get me and we consulted on the cut and color for a good 15 minutes. At that point, the supervisor talked me into doing a two-step process that cost double what I had planned on spending, but she assurred me I would love it. I did not love it and it had to be done over, twice.
Between every step my student would disappear for 10-15 minutes. I spent more than three hours waiting around until we were ready for my haircut. The student cut my hair and I could see wieght lines clear so I asked her to blend. At this point, my short hair was very, very short. The master instructor came up to take a look and said, "oh, no, you need to blend more." At that point, she did a very fast one over and my hair got even shorter.
By the time I left - FIVE HOURS past my appointment time -  my hair was overly dark, stripey and I didn't have a hair on my head over 2 inches long. Oh, and despite being very unhappy, they did not offer to reduce the charges. I know it's a school, but the lack of professionalism was shocking. I would NOT go back!

  • I like them a lot. They give a discount to seniors. I have only gone there for haircuts. It depends on who I use. I have only had one experience that was not good. My haircut was awful and one of the teachers fixed it and I got a wonderful haircut. They did not charge me for it. They washed my hair and cut it. He showed another student how to fix it. He teaches as he cuts it. Tell them that you want a senior student. The price is very reasonable. It is less than $10 for the haircut. I am as happy with them as I was going to a salon. The instructors constantly go around. They are very customer oriented.
