Lasik Eye Surgery reviews in Dallas

Dr Wang and office staff lied to me time and time again. Got billed for charges I didn't owe, dr wang and office staff said they would take care of it. They did not. I was continually billed for 4 months for money I didn't owe. I had to go to office and confront staff. They finally admitted I didn't owe payment

It was really good. I went there to see if they would honor the insurane that we had for Lasik. They didn't honor the American Airlines rate. I went through all the service of seeing if I qualified for service and stuff. I went through all of the process. I just didn't wanna finance it, when I could go to someone that took my insurance. They did the best they could. While I was with them, everything was okay. If my insurance would cover I would for sure use them in the future.

Great! I couldn't be happier. One day after surgery I have no discomfort and I can see better than with my glasses.

Both my wife and I had LASIK with Dr. Ryne and Dr. Lyons. I'll start by saying the pre-surgery experience is much better here than at other providers we checked with.  Consultation was free and very informative. There was no high pressure sales pitch, no limited time offered, etc.  Surgery was quoted openly on the phone as $1,700 per eye ($3,400 for both).  No Groupon, not sales, not hassle flat rate.  Pre-op appointments all went very smoothly. They do a lot of tests but nothing too different from what you get at an annual eye exam.  Surgery itself can be a little intimidating but honestly the real experience is not bad at all.  They do the all laser blade free surgery. On the day you go in for your surgery (we did Thursday night which is immensely convenient), you pay, wait maybe a few minute, get some eye drops put in and then your in the laser chair within a few minutes. The whole thing took less than 20 minutes, with the actual laser part only 15 seconds on each eye to create the flap and another 15 seconds for the laser correction.  You have someone drive you home, go to sleep, and wake up being able to see much better.  I woke up at around 20/30 and was 20/25 within days and continue to improve.  My wife woke up 20/20 the next day.  We both love it.

He is experience and the staff was very nice. There is a lot of different tests that you have to take before they consider you for lases. They are very thorough and I told my dad to get his done there and he did not and now he is having trouble with his. It was really good. He did like 20 tests just for me to be approved. Your appointment is usually closer to when you first go in. When I was there is was painless ans stress free. It is all clear when you done.

Upon arrival for our appointment, we were seen within about 5 minutes of our scheduled time. Unbeknownst to me at the time, my evaluation was different from the one done for my husband. After the fact, it seems likely due to our differing ages. He is 15 years older than I and has worn glasses for decades. I have only worn generic readers for a few years. My evaluation involved testing at three or four high tech machines that measured different aspects of my eyes to determine my suitability for the procedure as well as current vision. It was painless and the woman performing the tests was very efficient - almost to the point of making me feel like a number. It did not seem to be especially busy (necessitating super speed), but perhaps there was a wave of patients expected after our appointments. My husband who is 60, skipped all the high tech testing stations and was seen by Dr. Ryne who examined his eyes and determined that he has the very early signs of cataracts. After our evaluations, we met with Dr. Ryne to discuss our options and review information about the procedure. Much to our dismay, he recommended against for LASIK for my husband due to the likelihood that he will need cataract surgery in the relatively near future (a few years) which will also correct his vision, essentially making the LASIK an unnecessary expense. LASIK seemed a promising option for me as I probably have 15 years or more before I might develop cataracts. However, as we continued to discuss my vision, it became apparent that it would be prudent for me to wait until my distance vision deteriorates further. We spent a solid hour total for this consultation which was at no charge. Dr. Ryne was very informative and answered all of our questions. He discussed our specific conditions and double checked my current vision to get a more exact impression of how I would likely respond to LASIK. He also showed me what he saw in my husbands eyes that indicate the beginning of cataracts. He joked that if either or both of us insist on having it done now (put a foot on his throat!) he won't turn us down, but that we will be going into it well informed. He seemed genuinely concerned with not only the outcome - but with the duration of the results. We appreciated his candor and recommendations. Overall, I would say that I would completely trust Dr. Ryne with our vision. He is an excellent communicator, put us at ease and clearly was not pushy in any way considering that he didn't even recommend the procedure for either of us at this time. I would highly recommend Clearview to anyone considering LASIK. At the very least go for the consult, you will be glad that you did!

Cornea Associates of Texas - Dallas
After researching for many years the various options for corrective eye procedures, I decided the time was right to correct my nearsightedness and slight astigmatism. I researched and visited several Lasik doctors. Even though there are many "budget" $595 per eye, Lasik-mill provider, I wanted the best. Being in the health care field, I especially wanted to make sure I found the right ophthalmologist for me....someone I could trust with my eyes and vision. A previous optometrist had recommended Cornea Associates and when I saw the in the Best Doctors in Dallas (voted on by the peers), I put them on my short list of doctor groups to visit.  I was impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They answered my questions AND I had the opportunity to meet with the doctor before deciding on the procedure.  Because this procedure is generally not covered by insurance and I was going to pay out of pocket, I wanted the best I could afford. They don't come cheap. Everything about the procedure was explained, step-by-step before and during the procedure. Your care is covered for a year (office visits, follow-up, redos/enhancements - if you need some re-tweaking). I have visited twice since my procedure, which was originally in Feb 2011. I had both eyes done (I did go back and forth with whether to do one, then the other). Three months later, I had an enhancement to one eye.

    Texas Eye & Laser Center
I had a good experience with Texas Eye and Laser Center. The staff was responsive to our needs. The price for the procedures were fair. The office and staff of Center were comfortable to be around. I am happy that I can see better now. I hope I don't have to use them again, but I would if needed.

    Klieman, Dr. David A.
I started using him because I had Lasik surgery. He is an excellent surgeon. He was rated among the top 10 surgeons in the Forbes magazine recently. He has a good chairside manner. I would certainly recommend him for Lasik or cataract surgery.
