    Dallas Renovation Concepts LLC
We used Larry and Rebecca for a whole house, down to the studs remodel, including raising ceilings, removing interior walls, adding new entry foyer and porch, and residing and restoring the brick exterior. Larry also installed the hardscape material including a circular drive, paver patios, retaining wall and rolling gate at garage driveway. These guys are professional and detail oriented. The costs were well explained, and fair. We were always made aware of budget concerns when changes were being proposed either by us or by Larry. We would certainly use these guys again.

    Johnson's Handyman
I've had John and crew do a bunch of work on my house after drifting around with other contractors. They have done a new front door install and the millwork around it, poured concrete to set a new mailbox, welded a matching steel fence, framed a new doorway where there was a wall, etc. They can do all kinds of stuff, and they don't leave me with extra work at the tail end (ie they don't add holes and then leave them). Great guys - and Wesley in particular is awesome.

    Mr QuickFix
I will start off by saying that I am so thankful we found Jay to work for us!! After a few bad - and very frustrating - experiences with other contractors and handymen (who tried to rip us off and overcharge us for doing shoddy work), we couldnt have been happier with Jay and his other helper!!! My husband and I are new to the Dallas area and needed a lot of projects done in our home - some big and some small (kitchen remodel, wall enclosure, replace ceiling lights/fans, fix dry wall in garage, add electric outlets, replace bathroom countertops, build a custom desk, replace broken window, and lots more). We are not handy at all when it comes to remodeling or repairs of any kind, but Jay seems to be a jack of all trades and was able to fix just about everything we requested, or he referred us to another specialist. We felt very safe/comfortable having him in our home while we were away at work. Honesty and integrity are extremely important to us, and Jay and his helper have both. His prices are very fair and he does great work. Would definitely recommend him and use him again in the future! Thanks so much Jay!

    Studio City Design Build
I was the pro bono architect (licensed in Texas) for this particular client. This contractor from the very beginning went above and beyond a typical rebuild. In my 35 years as an architect mostly in Boston and London, England, I've never had a contractor this good on any of my projects. I would be more than happy to hire and/or recommend this contractor on any of my projects in the future.

    Hector's Construction and Home Improvment
Hector and Mario did a fantastic job on our kitchen! I would definitely hire them again. I appreciated how well he handled all the details and I didnt have to hire subcontractors. He was able to do EVERYTHING!! And it turned out great! I will definitely keep him on my contact list. Thanks Hector!

The Porch service thru Lowes is a joke. They do not vet their vendors. They get $65 per lead they provide to the vendors. They 'guarantee' their referrals - but NOT the quality of their work. The carport could not pass inspection - had to be torn down. Porch said too bad. They referred a plumber who was also bad. They don't care. They got their referrral fee. Avoid Porch

    Steveson Remodeling
Mr. Orelup was always punctual and professional. His quote was not the lowest or the highest but the work performed is excellent. We had a small add on to the original scope of the work. Steve adjusted the bid reasonably and did the extra work promptly. The thing that influence me to do business with Steveson Remodeling initially was the excellent estimate he delivered in a timely manner. The estimate listed labor and materials in a way that made the infomation understandable

    Ernesto Flores Handyman Services
Ernesto was hired for some general carpentry work and bathroom tile repairs. He did an outstanding job and I would give him 10 out of 10. Here are the three main reasons he excelled: 1.) Attention to detail he takes pride in his work and the craftsmanship is top notch 2.) He has the right tools most people wont buy specialty tools and would rather make do with what they have. He has all the right tools to do the job right. This makes a big difference. 3.) Timeliness he responded to emails promptly, came when he said he would come, and finished the job on time as promised Honest guy, solid workhighly recommended.

    Jenkins Building & Construction, Inc
It was a pleasure working with Mr Jenkins. From inception, he was very detailed and he took the time to thoroughly inspect the home. I was very impressed with the initial detailed quote and his professionalism. He painted a very clear picture of the work and material needed to get the project done. By the extent of the damage to the home, I assumed that this would be a long project but once the work started, it only took a few days. The workers that Mr Jenkins had on the project were very hard working and they were very meticulous. He was also one of the few contractors who had an assistant, Terri, so it was very easy to get status updates on the project or just get a hold of them in general. Overall, I was very impressed by Mr Jenkins and his team. From project inception and planning, to execution and completion, everything went without a hitch. They were thorough, punctual and work was well crafted on what I think was a complex project. I would definitely call him again and would recommend to all.

    Mr QuickFix
Jay responded to my initial text within an hour and asked for some pictures of the things I wanted him to work on. After I sent them he said this was something he could help with, and sent his employee Benny out the same day to estimate the job. Jay then contacted me a few hours after Benny left with the estimate and asked if I wanted to go ahead. I said yes, and he had Benny out the next day to do the work. Benny contacted me at 8:30 to ask if I was ready to get started. He went to the store and bought the materials needed and then arrived around 10:45. I live in a historic house with #117 wood siding, which is not available at Home Depot or Lowes, but Benny went to one of the lumber yards in the metroplex that had one and found the right siding. He started on patching the hole in the wall as soon as he arrived and he was done within a few hours. The end results looked great. The spare paint I had didn't quite match because the surrounding paint had faded in the sun, but aside from that you can barely tell where the repair was made. Next Benny looked at the french doors. They were pretty off-kilter due to my 100 year old pier-and-beam house settling and they would not latch properly anymore. After looking at it he discussed my options with me. He said he could either just put in shims on the hinges to align the door as much as possible, or he could take off the trim and try to adjust the frame. Since the house shifts season-to-season, I wasn't confident that any major fix would be permanent, so I opted for the minor fix. He got the door hanging more evenly and then adjusted the strike plate for the latches so they lined up properly. The door isn't perfectly aligned but it latches now and opens and closes smoothly which was the main thing I wanted. Next up was the dishwasher. I had installed this myself and I wasn't happy with the result. It wasn't level and there were gaps between the dishwasher and the cabinets. Benny took the dishwasher out and removed the shims that I had put in. While he was doing this he told me that really the dishwasher should be wired with a plug instead of hard-wired into the power line. I gave him a junction box and outlet I had lying around and while he was working on that, I went to Home Depot to get a power cord for the dishwasher. He installed the cord, put the dishwasher back in place and leveled it. He had to cut a strip of wood off the cabinets on the side to make it fit properly and then put a strip along the top. The dishwasher job ended up taking longer than everything else combined, and honestly I'm not super thrilled with the end results. There are still gaps around the dishwasher and it sticks out further than I would like but I think Benny did the best job he could given the challenges he had to work with. If I had it to do over again, I probably would have just left the dishwasher the way it was for now, but hindsight is 20/20. I am sure he could have made it look better if I had wanted him to spend the time on it, but I decided not to. I feel I really need to redo the entire kitchen with new cabinets since the ones I have are really old and have shifted along with the rest of the house. The final job was fixing the railing on the front porch steps. Benny removed the rotten section of 2x4 and put in a new one. The repaired railing itself is solid now but the connection to the ground is not. Benny showed me the problem and explained that it would require drilling a hole in the concrete and using a larger bolt to make the connection more solid. It was getting late at that point and he didn't have the needed materials so I told him maybe I'd have him fix that if I needed to have him back out for another job someday. Overall I'm really happy with the job that Benny did. I felt that he was punctual, professional, and honest, and when he ran into challenges he explained the options and let me decide how to proceed. Even with the challenges faced with the dishwasher, the entire job ended up coming in below the estimate that he initially gave me, so I'm happy with the price too. I would definitely use Mr. Quickfix again.
