    Midwest Water Systems
Eric is both the owner and installer and did an excellent job of explaining the problem and offering options. He was prompt, effective, knowledgeable and helpful in answering all my questions. The installation was neat and clean. I highly recommend him.

I set an appointment for their representative to come to my home and test my water and give me an estimate. They never showed up and never called to cancel or reschedule. When I called them back they had no record of the appointment and refered me to a different office.

    The Eco Plumbers & Drains
Four years ago, I hired Eco Plumbers to install a whole house water filter I had bought through a third party. When the guy was about to switch the system online, I told him I had spoken with the manufacturer and there were very specific steps that should be taken before you switch it on. He didn't want to hear about it. I even got the manufacturer on the phone and all I would've had to do is hand the phone the plumber, but he was so macho and arrogant that he said he knew what he was doing. He switched it on and immediately flooded all of the pipes in the house with carbon, damaging all the cartridges in all the fixtures. The company sent out two more plumbers and they spent a day trying to flush out the pipes, clean the cartridges, drain the hot water heater, etc. But it never completely fixed the problem. Even to this day, when I run water, I see carbon in the water. I never said anything on Angie's List, but as the fixtures continue to deteriorate, I continue to get more and more furious. Now the control in the main shower lets almost no cold water through. Other fixtures have about half pressure. Replacing these cartridges cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and in some cases would require having to knock holes in the wall. Use this company at your own risk at least one of the plumbers is so arrogant that he'll risk destroying your plumbing.

    RainSoft of Greater Columbus
Pretty well. Install and post-install services all went well, and they were all good and capable people. I liked my water, I recommended it to others, but there was always a problem. My valve/controller was an older model that allowed saline water to get into my water system whenever it recycled while water was being drawn. Usually, it wouldn't be a problem (schedule the cycle after midnight), but it was for me when the house humidifier ran at night, like in the dead of winter. To update/replace the valve/controller with Rainsoft equipment would've cost 3x what I ended up paying for a completely new system from a different supplier nearly 15 years after the original installation.

The tech (Nick W.) did a great job. He was on time, friendly, wore booties, delivered ten bags of salt and filled it in addition to the other service. He checked the water quality, told me about a problem that may occur in the future, and was generally great.

    Aqua Systems
A previous water delivery service we signed up for through Costco was quite poor (when they showed up). Aqua Systems, and Rob specifically, have been great to work with. We have had delivery delayed a day before but I always get a call with as much advance notice as Rob is able to provide. The water is as close to tasteless as I've ever had (good thing). I get the one with added minerals (which is what Dasani (for example) and many others do.

They arrived on time with all the materials needed. Cleaned up the existing water piping at the entrance to the house and piped it up and across the ceiling to below the kitchen. They hooked it all up and explained when to change out the filters (available from them and can be purchased seperately or even online). It has been great to have softened water (we have 30 grains of hardness). Additionally having quality drinking water from the RO tap as well as hooked into our refrigerator has been great. We used to buy gallons of purified water from the store. One thing to note is that if you have a water line that is going to be close to the outside you need to insulate properly. I added insulation around the water lines that went to our sink that was against an outside wall. There was a free upgrade to the faucet in the kitchen which was not in stock when the original installation occurred. They have now replaced that (easy 20 minutes swap and it looks great! We couldn't be happier with the service.

Mr. Knadler did a great job explaining how the water softener works, and was flexible with softening the hot water only.  He even helped me replace the exterior in-line ice maker filter.  I highly recommend Midwest Water Softeners LLC to anyone in need of a water softener or reverse osmosis system.

    The Eco Plumbers & Drains
Eco Plumbers is way over priced compared to any other top-tier plumbing company. Sometimes paying more is good when you are receiving a higher level of service, but their prices are completely unreasonable. Think that's just my opinion? Read through all the reviews on Angie's List. Or... just ask for their hourly rate. It is over $370/hr, and that doesn't include high markups on materials. Do yourself a favor, call somebody else and save money.
