  • I always get in right away and I don’t have to wait a long time and they are just super nice and I like the fact that they have the “My Chart” where you can communicate with doctors and see your test results and medication list. It’s really great. You can e-mail the doctor. It’s like an internal e-mail. You can send your doctor a note and you can ask for refills on your prescriptions. They’ll e-mail you reminders for your doctor visits plus they even call you to remind you and I like that they have the x-rays and everything right there. If you need an x-ray, it’s like almost in the same room. You just have to go through a little door and you’re right there to get x-ray and stuff so it’s really nice. They have a physical therapy department there. You don’t have to have a sports injury necessarily. They treat other orthopedic kind of care. They have a podiatrist there as well. I never had to sit and wait for a long time. They go out of their way to be extra nice. I love the doctor. Both the physician’s assistant and the doctor are really nice. The doctor gives the best cortisone shots. It doesn’t hurt so badly when he gives them. It’s kind of hard with them on billing because you have to pay the doctor separate and the hospital separate and everything is kind of separate but starting in July, all the billing will go through one place and that will be really nice. I like their system.

  • I had never seen Dr. Shaw before. My normal doctor never is avalable for an appointment when I need one. Dr.Shaw was available to see me ASAP. I found him to be very thorough and showed genuine concern for my illness. I ended up having a small bowel blockage.Dr.Shaw found one of the best surgeons who took wondetful care of me and acted quickly. I trust Dr.Shaw and have continued seeing him ever since. Very caring person.

  • The appointment went as expected. He checked my shoulder and thought it was from computer work. It was a wrong diagnosis. He gave me streching exercises that I learned later actally made my shoulder worse. I will continue to see Dr Ewald for general medical needs but will not see him for sports medicine issues.

  • He is at the same practice as my primary care and sports medicine.  He has treated my kids a couple of times and they like him.  My youngest kid last saw him.  My daughter and my wife seem to like him and they keep going back, so that means everything okay.  He seems to very available.  The only things with him is that he is so busy and I think that he is split between two or three different practices in differ locations, so sometimes it is a little tough getting in because he is good.

  • See above.

On occasion, Dr. Shaw has also treated me as my primary care physician, writing prescriptions and referring me to specialists as needed.

I find him to be non judgmental, accessible, friendly, competent and extremely intelligent.

He is a very pleasant  person to be around and I like him very much.

  • He is not compassionate. His bedside manner is terrible. He was very rude, and made a joke in bad taste around my daughter she was crying. I don’t think he should work with children, at all. If I were another parent, I would not allow him around my children. The office manager was rude all the time. Their waiting room is always packed and you have to wait forever, while the staff is sitting around and eating and not helping people.

  • We use them because my son really likes the doctor here. It just seemed like they had no problems with the insurance, unlike the other place where there was always something they were not covering or paying. They are very good with sports medicine and also referring to physical therapy.

  • I have experienced knee pain for the past 10 years as a result of a congenital condition called bi-partite patella. I went to see Dr. Pongonis to get a referral to an orthopedic surgeon so I can get a surgery on my knee to stop the pain. During my appointment with Dr. Pongonis he wasn't very friendly, informative, or helpful. In fact, spent about 5 minutes with me, enough time to look at my knee and order X-rays. He didn't even seemed to have reviewed my medical history, as he ordered me to get a MRI but did not notice that I had a neck surgery a while back in which a titanium plate was attached to my spine. I had to inform the imaging professionals of this as opposed to Dr. Pongonis doing so. Overall, I just felt like another number with Dr. Pongonis. He rushed in, rushed out, and did not give a lot of thorough care.

  • the doctor was great but max sports office staff was awful. Condescending with plenty of attitude. "Sat" on my MRI order for many weeks then coded it wrong so it was denied. I would like to think it was an accident however based on the awful way I was treated during many phone conversations by several of the office staff I'm afraid they "punished" me for pushing to get the MRI ordered. The physician I work for was able to get this MRI approved in just a few minute call so it was difficult. I eventually had the MRI somewhere else and the orthopedic doctor Dr. Lombardo (i think) personally called me with the results and apologized for my bad experience. He referred to a neurosurgeon and I had surgery. The doctor's at this facility are great but the office staff plays games with your health if they feel like it.

  • Right from the start, calling to make an appointment, the staff is very helpful. We can usually get in within a week, sometimes a little more. The instruction packet they send out prior to the appointment is informative and clear. The reception area is comfortable. The reception and scheduling staff are friendly and efficient. The medical assistants and technicians are even more efficient and friendly. The wait time in reception and in the exam room is almost always minimal. There is always plenty of parking too. Dr. Dupore and the staff pay attention to us, our problems and make us feel there is no one more important to them at that moment. We feel better just being in their care. We are on Medicare and have supplemental insurance so we do not have a co-pay. The only cost has been for extended physical therapy that exceeds the insurance coverage.
