    Patrick started my project two months late. He caused water damage to my home by not securing it well enough from a rain storm that he decided to try and work around. He continued to make several more serious mistakes along the way. As costs and problems increased due to his incompetence, instead of being a professional and honoring his contract, he walked away halfway through the project. He left me with no heat, plumbing, or electrical in half my home at the start of winter and kept tens of thousands of dollars that I had already paid him. Needless to say I have already hired an attorney..........

    Everything went well! I scheduled an appointment with Todd. He showed up on time, measured all of the screens exactly, gave me an estimate, made the screens within a couple of weeks, came back and installed them. I asked him to add a couple of pull tabs and he gladly did fairly quickly. The new screens look great, they match the windows, fit perfectly and you can't even tell they're replacement screens. I would like to add that a different company that is well known really dropped the ball prior to this (didn't take exact measurements, lost the paperwork, made me wait two months for an estimate) and I'm really glad I found The Screen Man on Angie's List because he was far more professional, detail oriented, fast and concerned about my happiness with the new screens. I actually had him rescreen another screen after this (I have a couple of rental properties) because I was happy with his service. If I ever need screens in the future, I'll call him first. I highly recommend his service to anyone!

If they don't carry something they will order it and they are outstanding at brainstorming options to correct old house issues. Glad they are in the neighborhood.

    It went great! Todd responded quickly to my initial call, he kept in touch all throughout. He was very efficient by taking the portion of the screen door back to his shop when he came and gave his estimate and returned it when he did the work on the screen on the porch. Everything looks great now!

    Ravemor did a great job fixing up a bunch of issues we were having with some older windows in our home.  They repaired a broken screen for us, and obtained and installed 4 missing screens.  They also fixed a broken window that wouldn't open at all.  All windows are now working properly and we were very pleased with both the repair and our interactions with Ravemor.  They were prompt to call me to set up an estimate, and arrived on time both for the estimate and to have the work finished.  We would use them again in the future.

    Todd showed up the day after I called, popped out the screen, and recommended the heavier screen for pets. We asked about the front door and said he could probably order a replacement cartridge. He "worked us in" the day after the cartridge arrived, showed up in the morning and replaced both screens fairly quickly. The cartridge didn't seem that easy to install, but he did it. We are very happy with the results. Based on the labor involved I think his price was extremely reasonable.

    This will be a long one, so if you don't want to read the whole explanation, please take away this: Please DO NOT use this company, for your own safety.  An Angie's List "Big Deal" is not worth your home or your family's safety, and they do not stand by their work.
    I purchased an Angie's List "Big Deal" for $99 in late 2013 after calling Deluxe Home Maintenance (DHM) to confirm that they would have someone able to mount a 60" television I had just purchased and move the electrical box from the wooden mantel to the drywall behind where the television would be installed, and they confirmed that this could be done after I left a few voicemails.  This is why I give them a B rating on responsiveness.
     The man that DHM sent came to my home on October 16, 2013 to do the work.  He was able to relocate the outlet within the time frame of the Big Deal, so he explained that mounting the TV would be at their hourly rate.  $99 to move an outlet 3 feet was expensive, but he was present and willing to mount the TV, so we agreed to move forward with the job.  He mounted the television, we paid him the amount that he requested, and we were happy to have our new TV hanging on the wall above our fireplace.
    On September 6, 2015, my very pregnant wife and I awoke to a loud noise.  The television had ripped out of the drywall and crashed to the floor, damaging the hearth and breaking the television's screen.  I immediately took photos of the scene and started calling DHM.  After a week of leaving voicemails with no response, Kristi finally returned my call and said Brian would come to my home to inspect the issue.  Brian Carpenter arrived on September 17 and stated that the television and outlet were installed improperly.  The outlet was upside down, and he fixed that.  He stated that the television was mounted directly to the drywall and the original installer missed the stud by about 3 inches.  He checked this by driving a screwdriver into the wall to hit the stud.  He took photos of the scene and said he'd be in touch after speaking to the new owner of the company.
    After many un-returned calls and noncommittal conversations with Brian, Brian said the current owner of the company was unwilling to stand by the job because he did not own the business when the work was done, and Brian recommended I contact a lawyer or contact my homeowner's insurance provider.  Now that things have settled down at home, I am taking his advice.  Following the advice of our lawyer, I sent a formal, certified letter on January 15, 2016 to try to resolve this amicably, requesting DHM to cover the replacement of the television and repair and repaint of the wall but received no reply or payment. We allowed one month for a reply.  Now that this time has elapsed, we are taking our next steps to recover the cost of the television replacement and repairs.
    I write this review to warn Angie's List users considering using this company.  This company hired someone that did not care to do a job properly and now does not stand by their work and take responsibility for the mistake, even after Brian Carpenter confirmed that the work was done improperly.  I am very thankful that my wife and baby were not hurt or killed and that this incident occurred when it did in the early morning when no one was around to be hurt.  Please do not put faith in this company to do quality work and stand by their work once it is complete.

    I was unable to setup the appointment via email, which was annoying.  When I tried to, they emailed saying I had to call during their business hours to answer additional questions-- but their business hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm.  Since I work, those are extremely inconvenient hours for me to be on the phone.  I don't know why they couldn't just ask me the questions via email, which were basically the limitations outlined on the voucher: is your house less than 2500 sq ft? is your house greater than 2 stories? do you have slate, cedar, or metal shingles?
    I did not need to be home for the service, so they came while I was at work.  Once I returned, the gutters I could see were definitely cleaned.  Also, I had about 2 feet of gutter screens that they removed at my request.  The service was well done as far as I can tell-- I couldn't see any leaves in the gutters, I haven't had any overflow problems, and there was no debris left on the ground around the house.   
    I did have an issue later when they tried to charge me extra for my house being over the allotted size in the voucher (2500 sq ft).  Apparently, they found the one website showing the square footage of my house as greater than 2500 sq ft, despite every other website, including the auditor's, showing less than 2500 sq ft.  I called them about this and was told not to worry about the additional fee since the square footage was inconsistent.  Well, I received at least 3 additional invoices after that and each time I was told it had been taken care of. That got annoying.
