  • I called this provider an hour before going in. I was told that they had no wait, could see me immediately and accepted my insurance.I was going in for a knee injury which was very painful. I walked in and spoke with the receptionist, who was not overly friendly. I singed in at 12:00 noon. After taking my ID and insurance information i proceeded to wait. No one in the office had a clue what was going on in the office, I overheard phone calls back and forth between the front desk, the nurses and the billing department. The practice accepted my insurance, however the doctor they scheduled me with wasn't sure if he accepted my insurance. After calling my insurance and the billing office they obtained the prior authorization needed. They time now was 1:20 p.m.; at that time I was told that the doctor I was suppose to see was only scheduled until 1:30 p.m., and would not be seeing me today. I had totally wasted and hour and half on my time.

While I was sitting there another lady came in who had an appointment,  and started checking in was informed that they accepted Anthem insurance, which is what she had, and they knew this when she was scheduled and referred. After about 10 minutes they told her that they didn't accept Anthem Blue and that they were sorry but they could not see her.

Furthermore while I was sitting in the waiting room, there were two older gentlemen waiting to be seen. They were there when I arrived at noon. They both had 12:15 appointment times. The receptionist informed them at 12:45 that the doctor was still at lunch and they would be the first patients to see the doctor when he arrived. When I left at 1:30 the two gentlemen were still waiting. I hope they got to see their doctors before he stopped seeing patients for the day!

  • When my sports medicine doctor told me I needed surgery on my hip for a labral tear, he said he really wanted me to see Dr. Provider name locked. even if it meant waiting 6-8 weeks to get an initial appointment.  After my 1st appointment with Dr. Provider name locked. , I saw why.  He was so kind and patient with me answering all of my questions (and I had an extensive list of questions).  The surgery took longer than estimated, but other hospital staff said he's meticulous.  I've tried to do everything Dr. Provider name locked. and the physical therapists at OSU told me to do.  He was even kind and patient with me whenever I would freak out over the aches I felt after surgery.  I was very paranoid about damaging the work he performed.  I was back to my sport on a limited basis after 3 months and now after 6 months, am getting back to full sport.  My hip feels pretty good now and overall, better than it did before surgery.

  • Prior to surgery, Dr. Provider name locked. came to my bedside as did his Physician's Assistant, Provider name locked. .  Again, Dr. Provider name locked. , and Provider name locked. asked me if I understood what my surgery would entail and if I had any questions. Dr. Provider name locked. performed my rotator cuff and subspinatus (torn muscle/ligament) repair surgery on 6-27-11.  After my surgery, Dr. Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. both met with my husband to explain how the surgery went and to give home care instructions.  Again, Dr. Provider name locked. gave my husband his office telephone number and said to call if we had any questions or problems at all.  It is now almost 13 weeks since my rotator cuff repair surgery by Dr Provider name locked. and I have no pain in my left shoulder at all, unlike prior to the surgery.  I have had two Post-op visits with Provider name locked. Med Sports since my surgery, one with Provider name locked. and one with Dr. Provider name locked. .  Both visits with the office have been pleasant, informative and caring.  This is one of the best surgeons I have ever had operate on me.  I highly and unequivocally recommend Provider name locked. Med Sports and Dr Provider name locked. for any arm or shoulder problems a patient might have.  I hopefully will not have to be operated on by Provider name locked. Med Sports Dr. Provider name locked. again, but I would not hesitate to seek his services out it I did.
