  • Overall, we were very happy with how well the move went. When I initially reached out to Provider name locked. to obtain a quote for the move, he actually came to our home to look at our belongings so as to ensure a quote that was as accurate as possible. His quote was competitive and reasonable, and due to his professionalism, we decided to hire his company to handle the move.
    Our plan was to have a mover come to our place on 7/30 to help pack up the kitchen, have the truck loaded up on Friday, 7/31, and then meet the truck at our new place on 8/1.  Overall and as just stated above, everything went quite well.  The man who came to our home to help pack up the kitchen was a whirlwind of activity and managed to pack up the kitchen in much less time than we thought possible!  He didn't take any breaks, wasn't on a cell phone for reasons not related to the move, and did an excellent job. BTW, when it came time to unpack the boxes following the move, we found that nothing was broken in the boxes that he packed! 
    Similar to the man who helped us pack up on 7/30, the team of men on both "move days" were hardworking, friendly, pleasant people to interact with during the few hours each day that we were with them. They, too, were constantly in motion packing/unpacking the truck and they did a great job with making sure that the boxes were put into the rooms we wanted in our new place. They also did an excellent job with packing up our furniture IN our home (not out on the sidewalk like some other companies do) and everything arrived intact/undamaged. I should point out too, that we did not once see any of the men lounging around, taking social calls on their phones, use unprofessional language around us, and/or engage in any of the other kind of behavior that my husband and I have come to expect from past move experiences (with different companies.)  We were SO pleasantly surprised and really happy with how the entire experience went.
    We will definitely use them again if needed!

    My belongings were not properly secured in the truck. When we arrived at our destination, items had shifted dramatically in transit, including a chest of drawers tipping over. This caused damage to the chest of drawers, the dresser in front of it and several other items. Several thousand dollars worth of damage was done to our belongings. This was my third cross country move and the first time I had any damage whatsoever to my belongings.
    When I contacted Provider name locked. , the owner, about the issue, he refused to take any responsibility for the damage. To add insult to injury, he double charged my credit card and two months later, has yet to refund the errant charge. Provider name locked. 's handling of the situation and treatment were completely undesirable and unprofessional.

  • The movers were supposed to be at the house at 10 a.m. but called first thing in the morning to say they would not be there until noon. They called back at noon to say they wouldn't be there until 2:00. We have small children and purposely schedule the move for morning while they were in school. We ended up having them there for half of the move, which was a major inconvenience. The movers were unprofessional, taking smoke breaks every 15 minutes, and were not careful with the furniture. They scratched several pieces and scuffed up walls due to carelessness. Since the move took so long, they tried to cut me a deal at the end and I took it: however, I received an email the next day from their office stating I owed $150 more due to move taking so long. After complaining, I got the $150 removed from but felt I should have been given more money off of original estimate due to poor service. They did offer to come and fix furniture that was scratched and their furniture mechanic was great. He did a wonderful job. That was the best part of a really unpleasant experience.
