AThree of the four caregivers were excellent. The youngest of the caregivers was on her phone more often and not as attentive or helpful with light housekeeping, meal prep, etc as the other three.

ATheir service has been excellent, I have been very happy with the caregivers that they've sent and we have been with them for years, and they send one caregiver at a time. And one of the caregiver they've sent, Betsy even took the initiative to complete task that is needed to be done without being directed. Their office staffs are very proactive and responsive.

AThe service was excellent, I couldn't have asked for more. She was late only once, and she texted me that she was going to be late, otherwise she was always on time and you can feel and see that she is willing to help. She charges us by the hour.

ACompassionate In-Home Care Inc.It was a wonderful experience. The company owner and the client services manager met with myself, my brother, and my mother to determine my mother's needs, and to get a feel for her personality. Anyone who has been saddled with the task of convincing their aging parents that they need assistance, knows this can be a real challenge. My mother's caregivers were perfect: Very high energy, bubbly personality and a little bit silly, just like my mother! They really enjoyed each other's company. Our caregivers were always punctual. They were very pleasant and extremely responsible. They were always in close contact with us, certain to keep us abreast of any health concerns they suspected. It was such a relief to know my mother was being safely cared for and at the same time enjoying her caregivers' visits.- nancy c.

ACompassionate In-Home Care Inc.We had a wonderful experience with Compassionate In-Home Care. Joe was able to find the perfect person to help us keep our parents in their home for as long as possible. Lisa was their companion for 6 months. She was so kind and insightful to their needs. Joe's assistant, Sue, was also of great help. She kept in communication with us regularly and even filled in for Lisa when needed. There were open lines of communication with quick responses to our questions. My parents loved Lisa and called her "their friend." Lisa engaged them in the things that they were able to do, such as puzzles and card games. We can't say enough good things about this home care agency!- CONNIE D.

AHOME INSTEAD SENIOR CAREWhile at first I found the 8 hour/weekly minimum a bit off-putting, but as the only caregiver of my 90+ y/o mother I was glad to have the time off. The only downside was that the cost of Home Instead was not reimbursable (at all) under Medicare or my mother's long-term health care insurance. Both caregivers we were assigned during the month and a half we used Home Instead were extremely nice, professional, and trustworthy. We especially liked one, who I hope would be available to assist my mother any time in the future when the need arises. I am very glad we used Home Instead and would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to my friends and neighbors.- Dominique V.

AHOME INSTEAD SENIOR CAREThere were two aids, Lana and Dianna, that cared for my mom during the last months of her life. They added to the quality of her life through their care and love. They were like members the family and were supportive of myself as well as mom. They tried to keep mom engaged with coloring, watching the kids in the park, playing with our pets, etc. I feel they put in a lot of hard work and a lot of heart. My experience with this and other agencies is that it is best to never change your schedule. If you do change your schedule make sure you call back and verify that they have made the schedule change. If a schedule change is necessary try to give 3-4 days notice (or more). Also if you don't like an Aid for any reason, get rid of them. I had problems with 2 aides with this agency one was not physically capable of caring for my mom (the first time she came I thought I was going to have to help her in the house) and the other I had a bad feeling about from the start. I should have immediately ask the agency to replace them. But I will being nice and felt sorry for one and couldn't come up a good reason to get rid of the other (till she broke the lift chair and trapped my Mom on the second floor for 5 days). The agency went out of their way to take care of this problem. Trust your instincts and remember the care of your loved one is the only objective. Watch your loved ones reaction to the care giver and use their reactions to base your keep or cut loose decisions. I went through 3 agencies till I found one that I could work with that send care givers that were a good fit in my house hold. Trust your instincts and remember the care of your loved one is the only objective.- THOMAS A.

AHOME INSTEAD SENIOR CAREHome Instead home care services were recommended to me by a social worker who works with older adults. She was correct with her recommendation! I found the staff at the agency to be very helpful and compassionate, and they took the time to listen to our experience with caregiving responsibilities for my father with dementia. They were very professional, very caring and comfortable, and felt understood. Plus they have male caregivers on staff, which worked so well with my father. I'm very pleased with Home Instead and would use them again!- Joanna B.
