  • Frank was WONDERFUL! He helped us navigate our way through unchartered waters. He explained processes to us, told us what would be most cost effective, while still enabling us to honor our father's memory. Very patient and kind. He was always available by phone or email. Even after everything was completed he let us know if anything came up to give him a call. Great atmosphere and VERY family friendly when there are little ones running around They are super accommodating and work with each family to make sure each service is personalized to the individual who's memory you are honoring.

  • My older dog passed away in his sleep one night a couple weeks ago. I went online to research pet cremation services, and based on the services offered (private cremation), cost and proximity to my house, I decided I wanted to use Woodyard. I called the next morning, and the phone rang and rang like it was being transferred around for someone to answer it. I finally got the option to leave a voicemail, but no one returned my call. I could have tried again later, I suppose, but on top of my sadness, I wasn't in the mood to tolerate nonresponsiveness from a business. Plus, I had a dead dog I needed to get out of my house. So I called Schoedinger Pet Services, where my call was answered on the first ring. 
    Sadly, a week later, my younger dog died suddenly from a heart issue, so Woodyard missed out on two opportunities to get my business.

  • Everything was done according to our wishes. They delivered the casket and body to our church for the funeral and the had the interment service at our family grave site about 100 miles west of Columbus. We appreciated everything they did.

  • They took as much time as I needed even though our funeral service was really small. They treated us just like anybody that would have a big, expensive one and I appreciated that and even when I broke down, they had taken extra time with me for the details. They were so polite and nice about it and they helped me pick out things because I wasn't really on top of things to make decisions and they were just so patient with me. I don't know if they had other appointments but they treated me like I was the only appointment they had and they had everything set up like they would--the flowers, everything. It turned out really nice and they even called afterwards to check on me and they sent me emails to check out on me so I think that's nice, too. They helped me find somebody to talk at the funeral that I really liked. Overall, I just think they treated me really well. I think their pricing was reasonable. Whenever I called them, I got somebody right away.

  • Everything went smoothly and was done in a professional but warm and friendly manner. Bryce, the funeral director, asked what I wanted and then took care of everything. The body had to go to the coroner before the funeral home could take it so I was a bit confused and not happy about the situation. Bryce explained the process and timeline and even called the coroners office to confirm the process. He was very reassuring.

  • These are kind and caring people. The price they quote is the price they charge. We found many funeral home that gave you a price but had so many add ons the price was double or more. They were there for me at the time of death and after. My wishes were all honored, and they went above and beyond, at a time were you are very  vunerable to being taking advantage of.

  • Losing someone you love is difficult at best.  You might understand my shock when I went up to the casket and saw a fly in the casket and one in my friend's hair.  I was mortified!  My friend's husband was in the back of the room and I just didn't have the heart to tell him.  This is very unprofessional and very tacky. I was not the only one to see this. My sister was with me and witnessed it as well.
