Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians
Business Description: In 1996, a group of 33 physicians chose to focus more on the quality of patient care they were providing and less on the piles of paperwork that they faced each day. The result was the creation of Central Ohio Primary Care, an administrative collaborative that gave these doctors more freedom to do what they do best - practice medicine. Over time, other physicians and practices liked the results they were seeing and joined our team. Now Central Ohio Primary Care has grown to become the largest physician-owned primary care group in the United States with about 225 out-patient providers and 55 Hospitalists. COPC also offers a full-service laboratory, complete radiology services and cardiac testing. We also have first-rate health management programs, including two physical therapy clinics, an innovative diabetes management program, and an asthma disease management program. But our most important achievement continues to be providing the highest quality of health care to our patients. There are 5 doctors at this site. Surgery is not performed at this site. FGemini Medicine LLCDr. Butcher is very nice and does seem to genuinely want to help. Her practice is also conveniently located which is why I stayed a patient much longer than I should. Their scheduling and time practices are horrendous and the reason why I left. I always waited an hour or more, and at least twice I waited 2 hours. When I commented to the Dr, she blamed it on staff. When I commented to staff they said I could call prior to my appt to see if she's running on time and if she's late then I could come in up to 30 min past my scheduled time without losing my appointment. Impossible to plan and still doesn't make up for the other 1.5 hours that I'm waiting! Patients have so many better choices on how to spend their time.- Heidi G.

CBrandt, Dr. David S.He retired after I only saw him twice without telling me he was going to retire.. He had wonderful ratings from everyone I spoke with when i was looking for a new physician. Now I am having troubles finding a good family physician for myself.- MARCIE M.

AOttaviano, Dr. Joseph A.Exceeded my expectations and was far more involved and engaged than my former primary care physician. Took me two weeks to get an appointment vs. six months plus if I ever needed to schedule/reschedule with my past doctor.- Barry S.

FVillage Family MedicineThe service at this office has been deteriorating for some time now. Although I like my doctor very much, it is impossible to reach a live person when you call. I've now had two separate occasions where I've left voice mails that have never been returned. I will be looking for a new doctor due to the consistently poor service I've received from the office staff.- ERIN D.

DMetropolitan Family Care IncWhenever I need to speak with a doctor or as for a recommendation, no one is ever available. Voicemail is their best friend and main source of correspondence with patients. Very unprofessional in that manner and their lack of urgency is insulting coming from a primary doctor's office.- mags f.

CThe OSU Thomas E Rardin Family Practice CtrBad.
Before I went, I felt pretty good and had a happy life.
Now I suffer tinnitus, panic attacks, ear presume and pain, depression, palpitations, bruxism, and insomnia.
A year and a half of my life lost. Totally lost.
Now tasked with starting over with a new doctor.- John C. -
BOhio Health CenterYou definitely wait a long time there. Even if they don't have that many people in the waiting room, there tends to be a bit of a wait. I felt like what they did didn't necessarily help. They could improve their wait time. The staff was very friendly.- Elizabeth H.

AOSU Center Integrative MedicineI see Dr. Ruslana Kurpita to discuss health issues and find alternative treatments for them. She has referred me to other Specialty providers and has given me online resources to find supplemtns (very cost effective ones, I might add) and other interactive websites to manage stress. They have accupuncturists, ayurveda specialists, etc. which you can take advantage of, and I probably will do so as time permits. When you walk into this office, the first thing you notice is a serene sense of calm. The front office girls are very kind; nothing seems to rattle them. the ancillary staff; nurses, medical assistanrs, etc. are friendly and competant and take time to answer your questions. I like the fact that Dr. Kurpita is an MD, so her training in the alternative realm augments this. In my opinion, this is how medicine should be practiced. A wonderful place to get and stay healthy and a wonderful physician in Dr. Kurpita.

CCanyon Medical Center IncThere is a three week waiting list. They got me in that day because I threatened to go to my old doctor. I had to wait another three weeks to get a physical. He actually did help me. It fell within my insurance. If the availability was better that would make them better.- Jason W.

DRiverside Family Practice CtrThe doctors I think were okay but the office itself...communications within the office were horrible. We experienced things like, prescriptions not being called in, messages being lost, arriving too late, et cetera. It went on for a couple of years until we finally just changed providers relatively recently. We are now with another service provider which has been just fine. Between the front desk and the nurses and doctors, things were just really screwed up for a long time. For punctuality, most of the time it was an A but there were occasions when that didn't happen.- Thomas R.
