Concrete Repair reviews in Columbus

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Mark Rodgers Construction was excellent to work with, and exceeded all my expectations. They were prompt with getting me a written estimate, and were able to work my project into their schedule quickly. The workmen that came to remove my old stoop were so polite, and removed every last bit of broken concrete. The whole project was done cleanly and efficiently, and my new front stoop looks AMAZING. Mark clearly has an eye for detail, and it shows in his work. The whole front of my house looks better!

  • Do NOT hire this company for any concrete needs. The entire process from when our project was supposed to happen, to the final result, and everything in between, was a terrible experience. So much money wasted. First, they continued to push our project back, without even informing us. We had to constantly follow up and ask when our concrete resurfacing would take place. They got the owner involved and I was told we are their "first priority" and they would be out the following week. What was supposed to be a TWO day project (so we were told from the original estimate), took SEVEN days. Forcing us to push back other contractors coming to our house. Not to mention, what we were told was part of our estimate, did not actually include all parts of the project. It would be an additional couple hundred dollars, even though Graham told us the day of the estimate, it was part of the quote. Once they finally started on our patio resurfacing, they "finished" it on a Friday, and left it the entire weekend with no sealant on it. During the weekend, multiple stains appeared on it. Apparently, it is not standard protocol for them to "repair" these stains, but did not communicate that to us and they "patched" them up on Monday (I asked for the stains to be fixed before the sealant was put on...but no one communicated that they don't do this, for various reasons). Their patch job was absolutely horrible. Various shades of colors that do not match the rest of the concrete. It literally looks like dark gray footprints throughout our patio. We expressed our concerns, multiple times, to the owner and son, about how terrible it looks and we are not happy at all. By their communications, they clearly did not care how we felt because to them, "they completed their contract". I proceeded to ask the son if he would post pictures of our project on their website, or if he would be happy with this patio in his backyard. Both questions, he gave roundabout answers. Proving my point as to how terrible of a job they did. Even he doesn't want pictures of it on their website to show clients what their projects REALLY turn out to be. When I asked how they would fix this, he said to give it 5 days for the spots to lighten. It's been well past 5 days, and nothing has changed. The entire patio looks way worse. Even dirt from the yard stains it. I again asked what they would do to fix their terrible job, and the son said they could come back and patch again, but that the color would probably be the same. So how is that even a viable solution? He then said "$100 discount". HAH! Are you kidding?! I have multiple phone conversations with the son recorded and would be happy to share with anyone who would like to hear how rude and awful their customer service is. They do not care about their clients. The way he talked to me, proves that. He even hung up on me on one of the calls. We ended up with a $300 discount, from the father/owner. Still, not worth it for how awful our patio looks. We now have to hire another company, and spend thousands of dollars more, to fix their horrible job, or we have to paint the patio. Gaddis & Son should be doing whatever they have to do in their power, to have happy clients, who refer them to others. They do not know what good customer service is, nor do they know how to resurface concrete. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Do not waste a minute of your time, or a penny from your wallet on them.

  • Chris' crew was very professional and they arrived on time, removed the old driveway, and poured the new one without a problem (including putting in a drain). The new cement looks great and hopefully will last for a long, long, time! We were kept informed through the whole process. The cost was more than some estimates we got, but I do think you get what you pay for...and we now have a great concrete driveway!

  • It went very well! They also gave me some great suggestions and it aesthetically it was better than what I asked for and it cost me less. I highly recommend R&R Concrete & Hauling Services (614-917-9088). They repaired my front porch steps & walkway, and ripped off an old deck and poured me a brand new patio. This team is awesome, each with a special expertise, hard workers and they clean up before they leave! This company run by Rick is honest, and efficient. And if you want suggestions for your project, Rick can give you honest input that may save you money or help with the aesthetic appeal. You will pat yourself on your back for selecting this company for your next concrete & hauling project!

  • I got a very competitive quote from the company back in March and the work was planned for sometime in May. They did everything as planned the week of Memorial Day. They spent a day doing a very thorough job of preparing the job site. They came back two days later and poured the concrete. They thought they would have to wait for another day to finish the driveway, but they were able to do it the same day. They came back a week later (when the driveway could be driven on again) to clean things up, install the handrails, and fill in any holes with dirt. I'm very impressed with the work and would definitely recommend them. I did have one minor issue -- One of their pieces of equipment dislodged and cracked a few stepping stones in my back yard. Instead of having the stones replaced, I pulled them out and asked them to fill in this area with dirt. Accidents happen, and they did a nice job of putting dirt in this area when they came back to finish up their work.

  • I contracted with CT Concrete for my asphalt driveway to be replaced with concrete. The work that was done was wonderful and the driveway looked fantastic. We were very pleased and wrote a very positive review for Angie's List. We followed the directions to have the driveway sealed. We did not use any ice melt or salt during the winter. Now after the winter months, the entire driveway is pitted. We are not as happy as we were with the overall looks of it after the cold, snow and ice. There probably is nothing that can be done to the driveway, but I just wanted to make a comment.

  • After Brendan, the inspector/estimator, discussed an overall plan with us, the crew of Ben, Collin, and Jose came for the installation, a large job which included waterproofing (trench and sump pump), some 30 foot pilings, and several wall anchors. They were prompt, courteous, and very willing to explain and discuss the work as they moved along. As our home is older, they ran into some unforeseen issues but always alerted us to any changes that needed to be made before implementation. Ben came up with creative solutions to some tricky problems. The team displayed good craftsmanship and finished on time even while including some work for which they weren't really responsible, but culminated an extremely successful project. These guys really worked hard, nonstop throughout each day – the hardest working crew with which we've ever contracted. I was surprised at how they were able to minimize the interior dust and the disruption of the exterior landscape, and they did a very nice job cleaning up after the work.

  • It was outstanding, they did a concrete step. Mr Donnie was a person who demonstrated integrity and character he was honest and open about what he needed to be done and he communicated everything regarding the job. He also made sure that I was pleased with the work, I would definitely hire them again. I had currently work done in the past bit i have never had anyone that is showing that level of customer service

  • My Handyman promptly responded to my request and answered all of my questions. Their estimate for the work was lower than all other competitors I'd contacted and they got me on the schedule right away. Entire job was completed in less than a week, including a quick one-day turnaround when I requested that the fence be extended a few more feet. It turned out great. I'm definitely keeping My Handyman in mind for other projects.

  • Went very well! Chris was quick to respond with an estimate, and then getting the work done. He and his crew were friendly and professional. We are no longer getting water in our basement and our concrete front porch looks wonderful! We will definitely hire again.
