  • I have never had such a horrible experience in my life. The 3C kept our explorer for 24 days for a door replacement. This meant charging $900 dollars for a rental car— they use their own rental car— so we freely advertised their shop for 24 days. When we asked them to work with us, the general manager Kevin Darst became belligerent. We were rightly frustrated and Kevin would only speak with my husband. He became very angry, yelling that he would not work with “smart alec people” and only would bring my husband back to to his office. He began to say that he would work with us if we promised not to post on social media, but my husband asked to speak with someone else. They said there was no one else to talk to as he was the general manager and would not release my car to us before we paid the $900 for the rental car. When I said we intended to dispute the charges with the credit card company, another employee— Kevin threatened to only accept cash because it was a “moral issue.” Kevin Darst threatened that I could talk to his lawyer and displayed an incredible attitude of sexism by only allowing my husband back to his office and saying that he would only work him — not me. We are frankly shocked and horrified that the general manager of a large chain of stores would treat his customers in this way.

  • Fantastic. I brought in my scratched-up vehicle without an appointment at 11:15. Bruce, the owner, got right to it. After one hour, he had buffed and polished out all the scratches and reattached the plastic keyhole frame. The work was flawless and the car was as good as new after only an hour wait. And the charge - only $50! (I insisted on the $50; Bruce wanted to charge me only $20!) I feel very fortunate to have brought in the car to Lane & Kenny (after consulting Angie's List). I had envisioned having to drive around for estimates, then waiting for an open day to bring it in, and then again waiting for the job to be finished and being charged an arm and a leg all the while in the meantime juggling transportation needs. Instead, one hour and only $50 and problem solved.

  • Rieser's did some body work for us 3-4 years ago which went great. This time we had a persistent water leak in our Tucson under the floor and they were very diligent in figuring out the problem. The cost was reasonable and everyone was very professional.

  • Repairs went well. Staff friendly an professional. Repair was delayed due to difficulty getting a part and the fact that one of the technicians accidentally damaged the newly-painted bumper and had to redo it. There was also a lack of communication about when to pick up the car. They told me a particular time, but the car wasn't ready for at least a half-hour after that. I had to sit in the waiting room and eventually ask them if my car was ready. When I went to get in my car and go home, I noticed that the part that's used to cover up items in the back of the Rav 4 (it looks like a large shade) had not been returned to its original location under the floor at the back of the car. I had to do this myself. My insurance company paid most of the repair cost.

  • The repair itself was fine. The problem I had with Gerber was threefold:: 1. When the repair was almost finished, they scratched the new paint and had to redo it. This delayed the return of my car ( I was using a rental). 2. They told me to pick it up at a certain time. When I arrived on time, they weren't ready to release the car. I waited at least 30 minutes in their office until I got my car. 3. As I was preparing to drive my car home, I noticed that Gerber had left the floor mat from the back of the car on the back seat and had not replaced a special cover for the cargo area under the floor. Not wanting to delay getting home any further (it was already 5:45 pm), I took the car home and put the items back where they belonged . Everyone was very nice at Gerber and tried to keep me up-to-date on the repairs, but I especially didn't like to be kept waiting when I was given a time to pick up my car.

  • I did not have an appointment but they were able to give me an estimate and repair all 8 door dings on our car. There is not any trace that there was a dent. It only took them about an hour. From the moment I arrived until I left they were very polite and professional. I highly reccomend.

  • I picked Collision One because it was one of the four nearby body shops that is in my insurance company's "network." Whatever Collision One reported for the repairs, my insurance company would pay directly, without me in the middle getting a check from the insurance company for an estimated repair cost and potentially having to pay any difference (in addition to my deductible) for some other body shop. Only Collision One of the four body shops had absolutely glowing reviews on Angie's List; the others did not. Because my car didn't require any body work, they were able to schedule me a week and a half after the damage. (Otherwise, they were already booked for body work into February.) Initially, they said it would take just a couple of days. But upon removing the bumper to get the first full look, they found the damaged steel plate and some additional exhaust piping that needed to be replaced. As a result, they had to wait a few days for those additional parts to arrive. They quickly notified me of this. In the end they had my car for 1.5 weeks to complete the repairs. I dont' know if this is standard for body shops, but I noticed that they washed my car, and I think they also wiped down the hard surfaces inside, which was a nice touch.

  • My vehicle was seen by an insurance adjuster and Tansky did their thorough examination of my vehicle. They really took the time and effort to make sure everything was done to make my vehicle safe and to have it looking brand new. The manager took the time to explain to me some of things that were going to be done to be sure the vehicle did not have any damage to the frame and when they discovered some additional parts were needed sent photos to the insurance adjuster who then authorized they be ordered. Though this was a very busy time for them with a lot of deer accidents - they managed to complete the work in a reasonable amount of time. After a week and all the parts came in, they gave me an estimate for when the work would be done - they did finish it a little earlier which was good too. All paper work was in order when I picked up my vehicle, and the person who did the work went over it and answered any questions. It was like new and thoroughly cleaned in and out as well!

  • A friend had recommended IBS, however we had a vey unpleasant experience there... The first time the car was 'ready' there were several blaring issues with the work. After pointing these out -we were begrudgingly told they would be taken care of, but definitely got the impression that we were inconveniencing IBC by not accepting their shoddy workmanship. The second time the car was 'ready' the work was better but one of our car's front fog lamps was still covered with painters tape. -I guess they don't believe much in quality control. During this whole process we never once received an apology for the inconvenience of having to make several trips to IBS, or a thank you for bringing our business to them and on the contrary were treated as if we were inconveniencing IBS by expecting decent quality work. Overall this was a terrible customer experience and since there are many body shops to choose from in and around Columbus -I would suggest avoiding this one.

  • They started work immediately and did a great job. Their price was much better than the other estimate I received and my car was returned freshly washed. The only problem occurred when a coil on their dryer went out causing an extra 2 days before return. The owner deducted the cost of the extra days of car rental from my estimate. He was more than fair and I was very satisfied.
