Air Duct Cleaning reviews in Columbus

  • Went great. My team was very professional and friendly. I think they did an excellent job for me, and Atlas Butler got their money's worth. They never slowed down on the job, but kept at it during the entire visit.

  • This is the third time over the last 6 years that we have had Dryer Vent Wizard come out. Each time we have had Francis and even requested him for this appointment. While they are not the cheapest date in town - he is very thorough and I appreciate that. The first time he ever came out he even had to crawl under our old deck to check where the dryer vented to the outside. Not sure everyone would do that. (We have since built a patio - so he no longer has to do that!) We always notice a difference after the dryer vent is cleaned and will hire again.

  • These guys are the best. Showed up on time. Worked as a team, respected our home, explained their process an answered our questions. My wife and I felt calling Atlas Butler to replace our furnace and having the ducts cleaned by them was the right discussion. Quality work and service is what we received. • Technician was thorough and professional. He provided helpful directions for follow up care of the air filters. He was particularly helpful with advice on the humidifier which intersects the duct work. He was clean and minimized the (very cold) intrusion into the house during the procedure. Small company but I would recommend. He provided a breakdown of additional services needed for a complete job, and offered to just do the scheduled service or let me choose anything a la carte.

  • Ducts were cleaned. My dryer vent was cleaned, I assume, because my dryer was moved and not put back in proper placement. The price was very high to clean all of my ducts and furnace despite my groupon. Conversation, language, of one of the workers was very unprofessional. They walked in and out of my home without removing their shoes or wearing booties.

  • There was a mix up in their scheduling and they missed the first appointment we set (without notice). Because of the holiday, I had to wait 5 days for them to call to reschedule. The crew showed up on time for the 2nd appointment and they completed the work quickly and with no mess or fuss. I would hire them again but I would confirm the appointment the day before.

  • Great, once I got the technician in my home. This company definitely has problems, as evidenced by the ratings here and with the BBB. But it's my experience that the problems are not with the technicians themselves. I scheduled for last month, took the day off work, and then about 15 mins after the 2 hr appointment window was over, I got a call saying the truck had some malfunction and they wouldn't be able to make it that day. I had to be the one to call the office to get back on their calendar. I rescheduled for today and was told they would also clean my dryer vent for the inconvenience. I asked for a call ahead so I'd know when they were headed my way and they agreed to it. This morning I went to the grocery store and got home about 12 minutes into my appointment window. Their business card was sticking out of the mailbox. I had missed them and no one had called me. I called the number to the office several times and no one picked up and I couldn't leave a vm. They never called to let me know I missed my appt or anything. It was the technician who later called, and told me he had called and texted me and I let him know I never received any of those attempts. Turns out the office gave him my phone with one number off. He said he'd get me in today, and then called again to let me know he was leaving that job and coming to me. Once they were here, they were polite, personable, and efficient. We happened to be in the middle of moving one of our children back home AND putting up holiday decorations, so our house was quite cluttered. They worked around everything and made sure nothing fragile got knocked over with the hose. There were quite a number of embarrassing things that came out of my vents! (Toys, clothing, canning lids.....) Even large chunks of construction debris. Several times he came and showed me what he'd gotten out of the vent in case I wanted to salvage anything. He let me know what to expect the first time I turned on the furnace, and let me know my dryer hose hadn't been attached properly, alerting me to the lint behind my dryer. This is a fire hazard, so I was grateful they put it back on correctly. All in all, I had a positive experience. The level of noise from the equipment was quieter than I expected, and the procedure took less time than I thought it would. I think the technicians are probably the reason why this company is still in business. When I checked 'Yes I would hire again' it's because the service performed was done well by good people. In recommending, I would caution that the office communication is spotty, but it was worth it after dealing with the technicians.

  • John, an owner arrived with one assistant. After working a while John showed me paper tapes on the vents that he said had mold spores on them. A bit later his assistant came up and showed me a white towel 1/2 covered with black that he had used for cleaning and John said it was mold. That alerted me as I had a chronic cough for quite a while and I thought that mold could be the cause of it. He said he could treat the mold also at a cost of $2,385.42. That really seemed way too high, but I thought more about it and decided to have the work done as the mold might be related to my cough. The invoice I received was non-specific about work done -- vents, $269; mold treatment, $825; UV Light, $1125; Sub Total, $2219; Total, $2385.42 (A tax was probably included but not specified.) He had attached a plate with a blue light to my furnace and said there was a lifetime warranty on it. Several days later I realized I had to speak to him as I didn't remember what the plate with the blue light was for. Also, with my Angie's List coupon the vent cleaning should have been $79, not $269, a difference of $190. In the past week I have left two voice mails for him plus filled out a form on his Angie’s List page listing asking him to call me. (There was no email for his firm.) HE HAS NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I need to find out exactly what was done in the mold elimination process, what the plate and blue light is for, and basically, what exactly was done during the vent cleaning and mold elimination to warrant that cost.

  • Fine. Tony and his associate (forgot name) arrived promptly and went to work after seeing the lay of the land. I was advised after they finished to keep same air filter in furnace for two days and then replace it with a new one. Furnace seems to be running more efficiently since having air ducts cleaned. I'm a happy camper.

  • They came early and finished in 40 minutes. However later that night I noticed a lot of debris around a few vents. When I opened the vent in the master bedroom while the furnace was going, I got blasted by some hair and fuzz. The debris around the house included insulation, hair, dust and dirt. Obviously they can't clean up 100% but in some cases no attempt seemed made. The core cleaning seemed to have gone well as the dog odor seems to be less prevalent and they pulled a lot of dust and dirt out.
