  • Construction and remodeling is very complex and The projects that we have worked on together have been as seamless as they can be in this industry. The attention to detail and personalized commitment to every job makes Keselman a pleasure to work with.

  • Zach and Jason did incredible work on our fireplace. Not only did Zach take the time to discuss design elements and color choices with us, he seemed genuinely excited about it. It was a pleasure to have them in the house, they were neat and respectful. They worked fast, and smart. As the project progressed they checked in regularly on small adjustments. They were precise and professional. I was so impressed with their work, and I could not be happier about the finished product. I highly recommend One Rock at at Time Masonry for all your brick/stone needs. Specifics: old sandstone fireplace was replaced with new brick floor to ceiling, sandstone mantle and hand-carved corbels, and sandstone hearth. Bricks were unique sand-cast from Old Carolina Brick Company, with black grout. They spent 4 days on the work, over the course of 4 weeks. Price was better than competitors we talked to.

  • Joe responded very quickly, possibly same day. Came out to do estimate next day without needing me home. Estimate was emailed same day. Other companies did not get back to me for many days. One required my wife & I both be present. 2 other quotes want extensive (excessive) work to be done & were many, many times more expensive. Joe was super responsive, quick to take action, realistic about what needed to be done, very reasonable price wise, got the job done within days (one contractor wanted to wait until Spring), did supurb work, cleaned up very thoroughly, & was an all around pleasure to work with.

  • It went very well. Mr Perozeni came out to estimate the job on time as promised and gave me a quote the next day over the phone. His price was fair and reasonable for the work that he had to do. It took two full days to break out the old brick wall, pour a new foundation for the new wall, and lay the bricks for the new wall. In doing so he had to remove, and later replace the sandstone step (200+ lbs). He was careful to match the color of the bricks and mortar to the house foundation. He had to move some landscape plants slightly which were in the way, but they were put back such that the final job looked as if nothing happened. Mr Perozeni and his son that worked with him were very professional, friendly and overall a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone needing any kind of brick work and would hire them again myself if needed.

  • We hired Koontz Construction to replace the front stoop of our 1920’s Cleveland Heights house. Our stoop was larger and more complex compared to those on most other homes in the Heights and the job was made even more complicated because we wanted to incorporate into the top some granite slabs that match granite I’ve installed on a side porch and the rear entrance to the house. Koontz did a beautiful job; they weren’t fazed by our unusual and very detailed requirements for how various elements of the stoop, like the mortar and the pattern of the brick, should look (in part to match the rest of the house) and they did much more work on constructing the foundation and interior structure of the stoop than I had expected. This included pouring a foundation under the entire structure, not just under the walls which I noticed another company doing a few houses down from us while Koontz was working on our project. The crew was courteous and professional throughout and the owner was meticulous in his craftsmanship and kept us well-informed of their work schedule. On top of all of this, their price was slightly lower than two competing bids I had solicited. As ‘icing on the cake’, while they were working on our stoop, I asked if they might also replace several sections of badly heaved (due to tree roots) front sidewalk. They agreed to add this to the scope of the project for an additional $1100, about half the price I was quoted last year for this same work. It was, of course, more cost-effective for Koontz Construction because they were already involved in concrete work at the house, but they did an excellent job on the sidewalk, too, elegantly curving it around a large tree to minimize damage and perfectly matching the finish to the remaining sidewalk slabs. I highly recommend Koontz Construction!

  • Couldn’t be better, Tim and his son, also Tim, worked as a professional and efficient team to fix and point the brickwork. He managed to find bricks that matched the existing materials. The house was built in 1932, and the bricks are an unusual glazed rustic color, quite nice. All that work was completed in one day, we had to wait for the cement to dry, then the wood frame for the cement pad was created and the cement poured. Everything was done well, the pad was 1” more in depth than the original and looks very nice, with a grip inducing brushed surface. This was a big job, Tim explained that the work was to be done in three stages, communication was done by text, and Tim was very responsive. Wonderful job, and a sigh of relief because that porch was unsafe and unusable and Tim understood the urgency.

  • Joe, the owner, and Ethan (whom I took to be his apprentice) undertook a pair of projects for me, a rather extensive repair of cracked mortar joints on my home’s brick fascia, the repair of the odd spalled brick, and the power washing of two back patios, one concrete and one fragile sandstone. Joe deeply ground out the existing joints and assigned the tuckpointing to Ethan, which he accomplished competently. The resulting repair is a thorough one that I am confident will be entirely durable, barring anything other than a local earthquake. Ethan undertook the patio cleaning and accomplished this quite professionally. He was particularly careful with the sandstone patio, which has special sentimental value and is subject to scarring if the pressure on the power washer is not properly modulated. He filled the open joints between the loose laid slabs with finings and smoothed and leveled these to a near artistic finish. I make as special note of Ethan’s exceptional politeness of demeanor. I thought the price fair for the work involved and would again contact Integrity should I have further projects within their scope of competence.

  • James D'Angelo of Mister Mason removed the five foot stone step and the crumbling decorative white brick work riser and replaced with perfectly matching new white bricks and new stone step. He did the work in under two hours, then also went up on my roof to inspect my brick chimney. He reported the chimney was in good condition, no work needed on it. He came back the next day to inspect the job and be sure the mortar had set properly. He cleaned up the area very well when he was done. Final bill exactly matched the advance estimate he had given me. Very professional job.

  • Mr Zemba is a professional. He works to the highest standards of skill, problem assessment, punctuality, and materials. He approached our repairs with full knowledge of our problems (on a rather delicate clay tile roof), and applied the very best solutions. He did not take any kind of shortcut. That is, he knew what he was doing and applied that knowledge to our repairs. He showed up on time with all of the necessary tools and materials in hand, assessed our problems, gave a bid for the repair costs, and immediately went on to complete the job. Prior to the date of service, the business office, Zemco, Inc, responded promptly to our initial phone and email inquiries, and in consultation with us set a firm, and near date for their service visit. Zemco, Inc provides outstanding support and scheduling (Zemco Roofing & Repairs Inc: 440-951-1466; zembab@sbcglobal.net)

  • Wayne and his assistant showed up early in the morning and worked one and a half days on my 100+ year home which had many small holes in the foundation, and some crumbling mortar. They were very polite, and very professional, and did really nice work! I think it's a reasonable price. I had trouble getting other contractors to call back, so did not get any other estimates. They are hardworking, get a lot done quickly, and I highly recommend them.
