  • Fell on me; oldest(35) to make decisions, as all were in state of shock. My dad has performed many funerals. Having DONE a number of funerals, doesn't equate with planning one. Dad had no idea where to start. How many death cert. would we need? Asked for the "average" ordered. About 10 we were told. No info why we needed death cert. was given and would have helped with our decision. Who asks for them & why? Cost? About $10. I asked for 5 (took charge, & I tried to keep cost low & move on.) Didn't know to place info in paper, & because of friend at the PD, we had help. Told director we expected a large turnout. (We had approx. 300-600 people all in 1 evening). He booked another funeral same time. People were parking up & down 82 & hiking there. Police called to help w/traffic. It was an August funeral, hot, with people snaked around the building. As we left picked flowers for church and gravesite. Need to know at start of evening & how many. Too much needed with information lacking.

  • My father passed 11/2010.  My mother finally purchased the marker for the grave 9/11.
    In January 2012, my mother passed away.  My sister, the co-executrix of the estate called to add her name to
    the marker.
    We have called, written, stopped in, written the BBB, threatened a lawsuit and finally FILED a lawsuit.
    My sister took note of every conversation she had with Provider name locked. .  At one point Provider name locked. told her the BRONZE PLAQUE was completed and they were just awaiting the granite.  When I stopped there in late 2012, Provider name locked. informed me that the granite was in but that they were waiting on the BRONZE and that in fact JUST THAT DAY (what a coincidence!) she had returned the bronze because the name on it was not correct.
    It is now JANUARY 2013 and the marker has STILL NOT BEEN COMPLETED.
    You would think Provider name locked. , the proprietor would get it done just to be done with it.
    Apparently she doesn't give a fat rat's hat.
