  • The service was done well. The staff was friendly, answered all of my questions, and finished the repair several days early. They notified me as soon as they began the work and let me know which additional parts they recommended and the cost. I am very pleased and would not hesitate to have them repair my bike again. I also have purchased many other products from the store. Their selection of bikes is expanding and they have a free lifetime adjustment policy for bikes purchased there that I have taken advantage of in the past. The policy has saved me at least $200 in repairs in the past two years.

  • I went to B & K Bicycles to purchase a pair of bicycle shorts. I saw a pair that I liked and asked them if they had them in my size. They told me no and recommended that I consider purchasing a different pair of shorts that were designed for men instead of women. While this tactic may have been effective in the 1990s, women's cycling gear has advanced so much in the 21st century that purchasing men's shorts is unacceptable. The salesperson ( a female), did not offer to special order shorts for me. I went from B&K to to two other local shops and found what I needed. One shop sold me a pair off of the rack and the other shop special ordered the shorts and I had them in a week.

  • It went well. I feel good about the service they provided. They do work right there in the back of the shop and it appears they know what they're doing. I feel comfortable that everything will work properly.

  • I purchased a frameset from performance.com.  Not having the specialized tools required to install the threadless headset, I contacted the store to see if they would do the installation for me.
    I spoke with Dan in the workshop and he recommended that I bring the frame in the next day for Brandon to work on.  At the time he warned me that they were backed up and I might be required to return at a less busy time.
    When I brought the frameset to the store the next day, Brandon installed the headset while I waited.  He was very professional and skilled.  He performed the following services:
    - Pressing in of the semi-integrated bearing cups
    - Installing the crown race
    - Cutting the stem to size and installation of the star nut
    In addition, Brandon provided helpful advice on the rest of the build.

  • My bike had been bashed and battered, then left to gather crud in my garage while I was unable to ride. I called on a day they were supposedly closed, and got an answer, and brought it right in. They did a bunch of work, on schedule (mine, which was especially appreciated) and I would absolutely recommend them. On top of it all, they were extremely kind about my neglect of the bike. I've had lousy experiences with other local bike shops so this was truly a wonderful find.

  • Bike purchased is excellent with smooth shifting gears. I needed some adjustments needed to the handlebars
    due to my body habitus but this was quickly resolved with adiffent stem. I have been using the bike with a basement cyclops wind
    trainer and can't wait to take it on the road once the weather breaks. The owner of the shop is very
    knowledgeable and quite patient. I think this is the best bike store in northern Ohio. Ask for Bob or Jim if you go there.

  • Made appointment to drop off bike at shop. Very professional. Explain what would be done, Checked to make sure brake pads were in stock and told me the bike would be ready in 3 days. On third day I called and bike was ready as promised and agreed price. Very smooth transaction. Will use again next year.

  • B & K has a terrible customer "bedside manner"  They talked down to me the whole time.  I was told that my bike was poorly manufactured and when I questioned their opinion, I felt that they talked down to me in regards to my ability to know anything about bikes and biking.  They removed and lost a bike basket clip.  They had been expressly told not to remove the clip, but did because "they know best"  I now have a basket purchased in France that is no longer usable.  Not only that, but the gears do not work as well as they did before I took the bike to them.  When I questions them about this, they, of course, told me that they are not surprised because the bike was so poorly made.  Perhaps so, but the bike did NOT have the gear problem until B & K got their hands on it.
    I will never use their service again or purchase a thing from B & K.  I will never recommend B & K or encourage anyone to use them.

  • I dropped off my bike and asked if they would be able to fix the problem with the bike parts crashing together. I was told that the rear derailleur was bent and that they could fix it. I appreciated that they offered a repair instead of trying to sell me a new part. I was also told that there were some other service items that needed looked at, but it would all be covered with a tune up. (brakes, wheel alignment, various odd noises...) I got my bike back a day early, sparkling clean. It looks and rides like new, which is really impressive, because it's gotten a lot of use over the past six years and I haven't exactly treated it gently.

  • I went there because they have trained bicycle technicians, but I would not trust them. They dod not seem interested in helping you unless you are a high profile buyer. This is not a place that I would ever recommend. They even asked me for a review, which I gave them, and they never followed up with me.
