  • I'm writing this review 20 minutes after leaving CPH, so take this with a grain of salt. They are always slow. Always. I don't think I've ever been there for less than 45-hour for a 3-5 minute routine examine for either of my two cats. As far as friendly, I've never experience anyone being rude. Generally, I'd say the staff is friendly. They just are slow. Everything is a chore. Getting your paperwork. Finding a prescription. Calling to make an appointment. So, why the bad review? Today, I took my cat in for his regular appointment. I was running behind, but because I always wait for 20+ minutes I figured I'd still show up. I apologized for running behind, when I checked and and no objections were made. They get me into an exam room in 5-10 minutes and check my cats temperature and tell me the doctor will be right in. Nope. I waited for 40 minutes and finally opened the door and asked if I had been forgotten about. The woman was nice and said she would check with them in the back. A couple minutes later a girl comes in to tell me that they are prepping his booster shot and will be in at any minute. She was bubbly and friendly, but didn't apologize for the delay. 20 minutes later and I'm ready to put my cat in the crate and leave and the Dr walks in. She asked how I was and I said I honestly wasn't happy. I said that I had been waiting for an hour. She then tells me that I was late. Yeah, I accept that, but if you can't fit me in, don't lead me to believe that everything is normal when its not. I decided on the spot that I was done in my mind and that I would rather not have the cat examined. I apologized to the doctor for being rude if I had been, I felt bad because I had never met her. Long story short. This place is not awful, but for someone who values my time, I don't have time for this. This is the first and only veterinarians office that I've ever been to, so who knows if others are better.

  • The people at Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital are first rate. They take such excellent, loving care of our 3 cats, and never make us feel dumb for asking questions. Even though our kitties don’t like going to the vet, they actually love the techs and veterinarians once they are there.

  • I've previously taken my dogs to Cincinnati Animal Medical Center (Dr. Jeff) for years, and I cannot say anything bad about this business. They took excellent care of my dogs and they didn't overcharge for their services. Dr. Jeff sincerely cares about the pets he sees, and is very through when doing check-ups and assessments. He is willing to work with you to help make sure your pet gets the treatment he/she needs. I also like the staff, which are very courteous and respond promptly to your phone calls. I highly recommend Cincinnati Animal Medical Center for quality vet care at a reasonable price.

  • I animal rescues so I have 4 dogs, but that included all 4 yearly's and I have an older dog so her blood test and thyroid medicine.  I'd give them an "A" overall and they are an "A" for everything.  I'd use them again.  They are wonderful, it's not just a business for them.  I like that they care about the animals.  I like that he tells me to get what I need but not unnecessary things like some other veterinarians.  I like that the veterinarian also volunteers his services for local rescue groups.

  • Boarding went well, we received pictures every few days of our dog. They also applied a topical flea and tick product for us and performed a few basic veterinary services. Dog was walked several times a day and had playtime with other dogs.

  • I have been very happy with them. Some of the independent vets are very expensive, so I stick with Banfield. I made an appointment, I went and they saw her when they were supposed to. People that work with animals are just special kinds of people, they are wonderful.

  • I took my boxer there cause he is missing a couple patches of fur, the vet advised he must be allergic to something and gave me antibiotics, $70.00 later and he is not better. I also took him to get his nails cut, and while he was calmly eating peanut butter, they were choking him out, he screamed like a woman, and I told them to let him go and stop choking my dog, and when they put him back down on the floor blood started gushing out of his nose. There was a vet in there also that  just walked out, They said he could have had a stroke, and said if we pull his back and if there red you can tell if there blood pressure is up, my boxer's ears fire red. I took him out of there.

  • The dog interacts with them fine. The vet interacts very nicely. They are great with animals and very knowledgeable. The wait time is very short. If you have an appointment, the wait is no longer than five minutes.

  • They've always been extremely nice. They do care about the animals. The first time I went in with my Newfoundland, she's the second Newfoundland that I had. All of a sudden, the first Newfoundland I had, she was five years old, and all of a sudden was labored breathing. I took her in and they were going to check her out and X-ray. They said we'll keep her and we'll give you a call you when we get her test done. It wasn't an hour and they called us and asked us to come back. Her chest X-ray and she was full of cancer. And then they sent us to another location that handled cancer and they checked her out and there was nothing we could do with her. We had to put her down. But they were extremely nice, extremely sensitive, because that's an upsetting thing. They were just outstanding, and that's probably the main reason why we came back. They were just very nice.

  • The veterinarian and tech were very gentle with my newly "adopted" Jazmin and took their time since she hadn't been to a vet in over 3 years (since her puppy shots). The vet LOVED my beagle girl, Ziggy, who is a pro at vet visits.
