  • I had originally contracted with another company, who showed up on our scheduled moving day and then left refusing to do the job, saying we had too much stuff. I had gotten an estimate from this company as well (I think their name in Cincinnati is We Help Moving), and they came out the next day and moved us. All the guys were great, and the crew leader Thomas was fantastic. We were so grateful that they fit us into their schedule, with the crew even coming down from Columbus because they didn't have a crew available in Cincinnati that day. The guys were so efficient, and never complained that we had too much, just got the job done, and in less than 7 hours. Because we had told them that the other company refused to move us after saying we had too much, they sent an extra guy for free. All our stuff fit in less than 1.5 truckloads, and they just kept laughing and couldn't believe it that the other company said it would take 4 loads to move us. We don't plan on ever moving again, but we would highly recommend this company, I would trust them with any sized job. After feeling completely abandoned by the other company, it was so nice to deal with an honest company with great workers.

  • Their crew showed up on our scheduled moving day, the Monday before Thanksgiving. We took them through the entire house, and the crew chief Rob said we had far too much stuff, and that he would need a larger crew and that I would have to reschedule for another day. All our stuff was packed and we explained we couldn't reschedule, we needed it done that day, at least started, and that they could come back for the remainder on their next open day if they had to. He kept insisting we had way too much, and that it would take his guys 20 hours and four truckloads to get our stuff across town. I had described the size of our house prior to contracting with Montgomery Movers, and we're certainly not unique in the amount of possessions we've accumulated over the 18 years we were in that house. He told us he'd have to check with the company owner, and we asked him to please call him. He went outside to call, and after a few minutes they drove away, without even coming back in to let us know what was going on. They didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to talk to us again, they just took off and canceled our move contract in their company system. I spoke to Steve, the owner, hoping there was some sort of misunderstanding, and he said that the crew chief told him we weren't ready, and that that's why they refused to do the job and canceled. As all our possessions were packed and sitting in boxes up to the ceiling, I knew that wasn't true, and Rob said nothing to us about us not being ready, just that we had too much. By the way, the company that performed the move for us the next day, got almost everything in one truckload, filling the second only 1/4, which was mostly due to us taking our patio furniture with us since they offered.

  • Everything went fine. I had to move the armoire quickly and they responded to my needs. The movers had great communication before and during the move. They took care with moving an antique. Would recommend.

  • It went well. They sent 4 guys who were nice, polite. They were patient and after moving the appliances up two floors, they waited around while the plumber hooked up the water, placed dryer vent, moved the appliances as necessary.

  • We had to move some furniture out of the house so we could refinish the hardwood floors. Leaders Moving came, wrapped up the furniture thoroughly, and took it to a storage area in their warehouse. When the floors were done, they came back (a few hours late because an earlier job took longer than expected) and returned all the furniture. They were very patient with us and helped move the furniture carefully to avoid scratching the floors or furniture. We were very happy with the job and would definitely use them again!

  • I used Ballew Moving in May 2018 and was very impressed. I was moving from a 4 bedroom to a 3 bedroom home, and had A LOT of boxes and furniture. They arrived on time, very pleasant, had all the equipment they needed and worked non-stop all day. They didn't take any breaks, except to grab a drink of water, and then kept going. They treated all my items with care, all the furniture was wrapped and protected. Not a thing was damaged when it arrived. They put everything where I asked them to. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. They quoted the job accurately and I paid what I expected to pay. Just something for everyone to remember, buy your movers lunch, and also give them a tip at the end of the day. They work their tails off and deserve a little extra!

  • They destroyed my $10,000 Tempurpedic mattress and have been very flippant about their negligence in having no assist devices (straps, hand carts, etc) to aid their movers and having any response to their movers’ claims that they didn’t send “enough guys” to help with the move. That was the reasoning I was given when the movers rip/tore/stained my $10,000 mattress. When I hired another company recently after that, I was shown what an actual reputable moving company looks like: hand trucks, four men for packing AND unpacking, straps to make it easier to move the mattress. EKO movers are cheap. They don’t want to have to pay for their self-proclaimed under-manned staff to have basic assist devices to protect my things and their employees. Shame. I am told that I have to assume that my things will be destroyed in the move and to gamble at this assumption and pay an additional, non-refundable extra $1600-2400 to protect myself from this “reputable” moving company. They know how to make this right, they’re unwilling to do it. Messing up my mattress is the least of my concerns. They put numerous holes in my walls and knocked down two lights in my new apartment. They tell me that their BBB accreditation is earned becuase they are a “good company.” Laughable. Well, I don’t care about that. This is a consumer-based business. You don’t get to tell me that you’re good and trust-worthy. You should show it with how you handle your business and stand behind your service. They are not standing behind their service here and only offer their condolences that they destroyed my mattress. This is not a reputable business, in my opinion. For the safety of your possessions, look elsewhere.

  • Great! They are nice, responsive and very professional. Wendy Heyman and their entire staff care greatly about what they do. Their team really works well together to make sure their clients are well taken care of. I cannot say enough positive things about them.

  • I called Hercules and left messages 3 times, sent them a text and 2 emails and NEVER got a response back about moving my things. I would say bad customer service but there was NO customer service ever given.

  • I called this location and got a quote of $600-$840 During the move they said that due to the size of the furniture that it would take more time/people and would need to charge more. End cost was $977. Please note that I provided them with every single item that I would need to be moved. They provided a range ... which should be able to cover if it's smaller or bigger than typical) I offered to order pizza so that we could keep things moving along. However ... they said that they would stop for lunch and take that time off ... which they didn't ... I could probably move on from that but their follow up to a broken chair has been abysmal. We moved over a month ago and I'm still trying to get an answer on how they will handle. I have had to call them every single time to get any type of update (which were false/useless promises full of apologies) I was told too that the movers would come with the necessary tools to take any furniture apart as needed. They did not have the tools and had to borrow what I had and call someone else in ... They also damaged my neighbor's front yard ... and failed to let us know. So, that's a great way to make a first impression .... Again, much of it I could get passed ... but the treatment of resolving the issue with a broken dining room chair is unacceptable!
