Pet Cremating reviews in Cincinnati

I would like you to know how badly I was treated by a member of your staff this evening. Let me preface this message by saying that I have been a customer with your operation for the past 3 years. I have relied on you to provide a valuable service for my beloved pets. I have entrusted you with the remains of animals i hold very dear. Within the past three years you have been compassionate, reliable, and responsible. I have recommended your services several time to friends and acquaintances. Unfortunately, my trust in you ends today. This evening Mary K. addressed my concerns about being charged over three times the amount for a service I received from you. She met my concerns with indifference, stating that it was something I needed to take up with my bank. When I explained to her that the fault was not with my bank, but with your company for charging me three times for services, she responded with, "well I don't know what you want from me" I asked her for a simple apology, she gave me absolute silence instead. I told her how disappointed I was with her disregard for customer service and she was dismissive. Right now I am grieving my pet and anxious about the unauthorized payments you continue to take from my bank account. I addition to my frustration at the way you have carelessly taken advantage of me, I received incredibly callous and unforgivable treatment from your representative Mary K. today. I am in complete disbelief that your company has taken unauthorized payments and cannot even offer an apology, instead you have spit in my face. If you do not refund the unauthorized payments and provide proof to me of doing so, I will file criminal charges against your company. I will also contact local news outlets to make sure that you cannot take advantage of anyone else in the future.

After the heartbreak of having our 14-1/2 yr sheep dog put to sleep at the vets office we drove our dog to Char Mac's for cremation. We have used Char Mac's 4 or 5 times over the past 25 + years. They have new owners now, but still continuing the excellent service. We didn't need an urn, I am a woodworker and I made the urn myself so we just paid for the cremation. Even though we didn't purchase an urn from them, our girl was carefully enclosed in a heavy plastic bag then put in a round white metal tin (with lid) and then into a white cardboard box, with her info on the top of the box and her cremation certificate. If you don't want to spend the money on a urn this can substitute for an urn. They have a pretty good selection of urns in various size and prices, I might suggest you shop a head of time because it is hard to look while grieving. Although fighting back tears when we dropped our dog off and again when we picked up her ashes, I remember how kind, caring and sympathetic the woman was to us. I would recommend them when you are in need of pet cremation, burial etc.

The service was good. We liked the way he had the color pallet on the side so that we could see what it actually looked like. I was irritated with their time frame. The work took like seven days and I felt it was because maybe one or two people would show up and a couple of others wouldn't show up when they were supposed to.

I called quite a few pet cremation services before my dog passed away, and again the day she died. The majority of providers I called had little sympathy. This type of call is difficult to make and you could tell some of them were all about the sale. However, it didn't take me long to decide during my call that Pines was the place to take our buddy. They honestly cared and could tell that I was having a hard time during the call. The cemetery itself is beautiful and just such a peaceful place to say goodbye. I think their service standard to return the cremations is 2 business days. We got a call the next day to pick up our friend. It's a bit of a drive out to the Pines but its well worth it. You'll see pet graves and you can tell how much their families cared about their pets. It's just helpful to know that you aren't alone and other people cared about their pets the same way.

During the initial call they will instruct you on how to wrap your pet in a blanket to bring to them. Once you go in they will have their caretaker come and get your pet from the car. They stood a good distance away while we said goodbye to our friend. They are very patient and you will not feel rushed. For me, the fact that they walked us through the entire process ahead of time helped us to feel more comfortable. For some reason, I didn't feel comfortable with a provider that just said come on over. The details about how the pet would be moved from the car were important to me. The Pines has it down to a science and you'll feel comfortable taking a loved on there.

The staff at The Pines are professional and caring. The pet cemetery is a beautiful, tranquil setting and good for just taking a calming walk through during your time of sadness. The Pines staff also includes some beautiful fluffy kitties who help calm your grief. The first time we used The Pines was especially stressful as our cat passed away suddenly. We had taken him the the C.A.R.E. Center, but there was nothing they could do. We arranged for the Pines to pick him up for cremation. They actually picked him up early, because we had wanted to go back and see him one last time before they took him, so the C.A.R.E. Center contacted them (on a Sunday) and arranged for us to come see him prior to the cremation. It was what we needed to help us. The Pines staff was very understanding and gentle. When our other cat passed away, we went to the Pines again for the cremation services based on our prior experience.

It's a hospice program. It's for pets and their owners. She's a licensed social worker. She provides grief counseling before and after. She also provides special counseling for children. She's also a licensed veterinary technician, so she worked with my vet when it was time to let one of my cats go. She came to our home and helped us put our cat down at home where she was comfortable. She's wonderful. The support services are very good.

The cost depends on the urn you select. They are very caring, understanding, professional, and convenient to where we live.
