  • Provider name locked. is a contracting handyman service. Any handyman service you need, you contact them and they contract out to the appropriate contractor. I hired them to subcontract out to hang my television above my brick fireplace. I was originally told that this could be done on Monday, Nov. 2nd, 2015. They called me the next day and told me that they had over booked and asked if it could be moved to that Friday (11/6/2015). I agreed, but on Friday, the contractor called me and told me that his car was broken down and he couldn't come to me that day and asked to come on Saturday.
When he arrived, he did not have the right tools for the job (which he had been told of in advance). We had to go to Home Depot and buy a masonry drill bit and a drill bit that would cut through metal. His drill was not fully charged and would die every 20 minutes. After 2 hours of drilling, he told me that that there was a metal plate behind the brick that the couldn't punch through with the metal drill bit. He guessed (but didn't fully know) that the metal was cast iron and that it would be impossible to drill through. He suggested getting a blow torch to melt though the metal plate and then filling the hole up with fire suppressant materials once the TV was hung. I declined this option. After 3 hours, he left to go think on this problem and said he would come back the next day.
The next day, he returned and told me that the only way to hang the television was to go back to Home Depot and buy a pneumatic tool that would fire a shot at the brick using PSI. This would punch the bolts through the brick, but the mount would never come down once it was up. After calling several other contractors for a second opinion, I determined this was a bad idea and decided to go no further. I asked him if I owed him or Provider name locked. anything expecting not to owe anything. He told me that I owed him $134.00. I asked him should I make the check out to his company (Looc Painting) or to Provider name locked. ; he told me to his company.
This was on a Sunday and there was no one working at Provider name locked. that day to confirm or deny what he was telling me. He was very upset that I was cancelling the job and firing him and I was afraid of what would happen if I refused payment. I wrote him the check. The next day, I called my bank to put a stop payment on the check only to find out he had cashed it already.
I contacted Provider name locked. and they told me that I shouldn't have payed him and that if I did, I should have made the check out to Provider name locked. . (This contradicted what the contractor--a representative of this company--had told me.) They refused to reimburse me, but offered to send a contractor out to mount my television. The only issue with this was the only contractor they had in my area to mount televisions was the one I had fired the day before and had no trust in.
As of today, I have been told by Provider name locked. that they refuse to reimburse me. The contractor refused to return the money to me. I am out $134.00, the television still hasn't been hung, and I now have 4 holes in my chimney. This company is a horrible company and their contractors (who Provider name locked. says is background checked) are very inept if not incompetent. I will never use them again and I strong urge other to do the same.

  • Provider name locked. and his assistant, Pat, were great to work with. We have done remodeling before, with other contractors, and are very pleased. Provider name locked. has an understanding of the needed work, works to communicate the work and takes pride in the job her does. We will recommend Provider name locked. to anyone who asks, and are thankful we used Provider name locked. for this project.

  • I purchased the six-hour labor deal.  Communication was immediate and I was promptly scheduled for a morning two weeks out.  Provider name locked. showed up on time and worked at the perfect pace—not crazy fast, not at all slow—and knocked about 15 items off my to-do list that made such a difference around here!  I took his advice on several things I wanted to do, and toward the end had to find more for him to do because he worked at such a nice pace.  I purchased a Big Deal for six hours of labor, and that's exactly what I got (he took a short off-the-clock lunch break in the middle).  Very knowledgeable, pleasant and professional, I cannot say enough good things about him.  ** I must add:  Six days ahead I was told my appointment was going to have to be postponed for a week, and no reason was given.  I found this very disappointing; this is the biggest problem I've had with handyman referrals—no follow-up, calls not returned, and days and weeks go by as you wait and give up your time to no-shows  However, when I reminded Provider name locked. that I was nearly a month behind on all these items due to bad referrals (for other handymen that didn't Provider name locked. out), he said he would keep the appointment.  Thank you Provider name locked. , as a result I will definitely call you again.  It's so important to be dependable! **
