Cincinnati Countertop Installers Reviews
We were not disappointed. They did a great job.
The granite we selected has a lot of "movement," so matching the patterns was not easy. We did our counter tops, island, and a 4 inch back-splash with this granite.
One note: Their quote does not include plumbing or electrical work. So you need to plan for plumbing sink drains, water faucets, gas lines for
Next came the man who did the profile, on time and nice. Then the tear out, again prompt and fine workmen. That was the day before the installers, who were exactly on time. Again, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
We were very happy that we did select
Another trip to look at slabs, picked out a larger slab. Was told installation would be following Saturday.
Finally at 7:30 pm Sunday they started.
Next came the backsplash that they cut wrong, so work ended immediately.
Monday at 8:15 pm they returned without one of my countertops, and after being told "if they could not be there at a decent hour not to come".
Installation went pretty well on Tuesday until I came down my basement stairs to find a cloud of dust because they were grinding the foundation wall in my basement.
The counters were all sealed on Tuesday night and the concrete dust settled into the finish.
I had to install my own dishwasher
I have called
It is now 10-26-13, I still feel strongly about my review and I am submitting. I still have never gotten a call back after two messages, I do not have a paid receipt of any kind, and had someone else come strip and reseal my basement countertop where the concrete dust had settled into the finish.
It is of note that the company that refinished my basement counter top, feels that that countertop was basically not polished to the same shine as my kitchen counter tops, which is why it will always look terrible.
Bottom line: There are a lot of reputable granite installers out there, use one of them.
After finishing the kitchen, we've continued to use "
Next, we want to match the countertops - not only did it take a significant amount of phone calls to even get someone to call us back, but they gave us to someone who is contracted (according to the person I spoke with) and doesn't even work for the company itself. Then call after call after call and nobody knows what's going on and nobody called us back and finally this gentleman calls to let us know the countertop is discontinued and we would need to go with something else. We were fine with that and let him know we'd like to do black granite.
We knew exactly what we wanted and the dimensions (for which we recieved two different quotes on the same thing) and the gentleman helping us says he HAS to come to the house to template it, and he would call to set up an appointment. Then he doesn't call back, day after day we had to call him to get a response. After several excuses for why he couldnt' call us back he says he'll set something up the next week and of course, he'll call back. I actually had to ask if I could speed up the process by going and picking out the remnant in advance.
Finally, almost a week after telling me he'd set up an appointment I call the main office and ask to work with someone else and this gentleman who answered the phone was not very pleasant. He told me that he didn't know what I'm talking about and he's "way too busy" to come out and template, even though he's the person we first worked with and we had a quote from him. Then I asked should I go with someone else if you're too busy, to which he replies "yeah that's fine".
The counters we bought were nice (we are going with someone else for countertops, per his instruction) but if you want customer services from the acutal sales people you're supposed to work with, I would not recommend "
The measuring must have been right on, as the countertops they installed fit perfectly. For our bathroom, the first top they installed was of the wrong type of granite. But when I pointed this out, the installer was incredibly quick to fix the problem. He offered to make it right immediately and to come back that very night (after his normal work hours) for the re-install. We ended up not having to do that for a variety of reason, but I was VERY impressed with how strongly he was in his insistence to help get the problem fixed right away.
End result is beautiful countertops, great selection of granite, very good prices, and good customer service."
