  • I highly recommend this place! Provider name locked. took care of my car and gave me an unbeatable price. Before I called for a quote, I was debating on another place, but after talking to Provider name locked. , I knew that was where I wanted to get my car serviced. Provider name locked. was very knowledgable, understanding of my situation, and I was able to schedule a same day service. Great service for a great price!

  • My 2010 Chevy Equinox stopped going forward or backward one fall afternoon. I had a moment of panic, but was connected via referral to Provider name locked. . I had a full warranty on the purchase of this vehicle and was very grateful to Provider name locked. and his team for doing all the "dirty work" for me. They contacted the insurance company, coordinated with the inspectors and adjusters and kept me in the loop at every move. They did not delay in getting the parts ordered and worked hard to get the car back to me on time. When I let them know I wasnt going to be able to get a ride to their shop to pick up my car they faxed paperwork back and forth to my hubands office and took payment over the phone allowing us to come get the vehicle in the evening using my spare set of keys. They also let me know of some issues they found while they were testing and test driving the vehicle in a no pressure manner. When I asked that they give me quotes and help me determine if any of it was covered under the warranty they happily agreed to do so. I will happily return to Provider name locked. for future automotive repair.

  • When my timing belt broke, I had the car towed to Provider name locked. because it was close to home and was withing the free towing distance provided by AAA.
When I brought the car in, I explained that the timing belt had broken and I wanted a new one installed. I was told the valves would probably be bent because the car used an interference-type engine and, when the timing chain(?) breaks, it allows the pistons to hit the valves, bending the valve stems. I explained that the car uses a belt, not a chain and that it was NOT an interference engine, so the pistons couldn't hit the valves. I left the car for them to inspect the damage and prepare an estimate.
They called me the next day to explain that the car had bent valves, as expected, and their recommendation was to replace the engine. I told them I would stop in to discuss the repair. Before visiting the shop again, I confirmed with a friend (a Miata "guru") that the car doesn't use an interference engine. I also spent about 15 minutes researching this on the internet. I found at least a dozen sources indicating that the Miata engine was NOT an interference engine.
When I went to Provider name locked. 's, I explained that the technician must be mistaken, that the pistons couldn't hit the valves. They continued to insist that their estimate was correct. They even said the technician had pulled the spark plugs (I did look at the car and found all four plugs had been pulled) and examined the engine with a boroscope(?) to confirm the bent valves. Their estimate recommended an engine replacement for $2400.
I had the car towed to another shop where the car was properly repaired for a total of $752. A couple of weeks later, I brought the car back to Provider name locked. , explaining what repairs were done as compared to their estimate. I suggested their technicians should do more research to confirm their analysis work. I am prompted to submit this review because I imagine what might have happened if this had happened to my wife when I was out of town, or my brother who is not very auto-knowledgeable, or anyone who would just accept an estimate without questioning it.
