    Park, Dr. Samuel S.
Great! He was very cautious. I started rehab right away and a few times a week for almost 5 months! He didn't want me to touch a tennis racquet for over 6 months and then only limited. I took a full year to recover and another year to ramp up my activity but I feel it will pay off in the long run.

The location is very accessible, but getting to the office the first time can be tricky. The offices are on the second floor and you have to dial the office number to be buzzed in (#200). Then take the elevator to 2R. Parking is easy for only about 6.00 across the street, or street parking. It's also very accessible by mass transit. Again, they offer you their time and attention. Your may over hear the fitness classes (upbeat music) or personal training sessions down the hall. They do offer online appointments and will work with your schedule.

    Sebastian, Laura J.
This body work is done fully clothed. She makes very gentle movements of your body to re-educate it for proper movement. I had a displaced ulna which I had been treated for the pain by 2 other doctors. These others doctors only treated the pain. Laura found that the ulna was displaced and was able to gently and painlessly move it back into place. I have severe low back pain and she has been able to significantly reduce that pain in just a few weeks of treatment. She also gives you very simple exercises to do at home. I have had a ton of body work, chiropractic, rolfing, acupunture, core energetics, etc. I love how painless, gentle and easy Feldenkrais body work is.

As a triathlete, pulls and strains aren't uncommon.  But, getting to the specific source of the problem can be difficult.  For years, I've been frustrated with the process of going to doctors who don't seem to understand the dynamics of athletic wear and tear.  It seems a one-size fits all protocol is always the approach and we usually spend a lot of time and money without ever really getting to the core of the injury.  When getting back to your sport is the goal, no one wants to waste time or end up back at square one with the same injury.  And, just getting back to normal daily activities isn't enough.  I need to get back to running, biking, and swimming. Thankfully, Dr. Svihlik is an athlete's doctor.  He has incredible knowledge of body mechanics and how they are impacted by different sports activities.  He really listened to me when I described the pain and how it was affecting my activity.  As he had done in the past, he pulled out one of his science books with detailed images of the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves we were dealing with.  Together, we talked through the symptoms and tracked each component.  As he performed each diagnostic test, this dialogue continued until he had an extremely clear understanding of the injury.  At the same time, he was educating me so that I would have a better understanding and could be a more helpful patient. It turns out, I had some tearing to muscles deep within my calf.  It definitely needed some time to heal, but Dr. Svihlik was going to make sure it was strategic healing that minimized the scare tissue and maintained the soft tissue pliability that I would need to keep running.  After 6 weeks of weekly therapy and Active Release Techniques (A.R.T), I'm back on the track and feeling better each time. For any athlete, but especially those of us who are putting on the miles and the years, Dr. Svihlik is a great resource for keeping you in the game.

    Bennett, Dr. Adam
It was a great experience. I was happy to hear that I hadn't damaged my knee from running and I was also glad that Dr. Bennett decided to try something other than surgery. I took his advice and went to a therapist he recommended. It went very well and after a few months of therapy the pain went away. Not only did the therapy help eliminate the pain, but it's made me a better and stronger runner.

Dr. Kacmar did the exam and suspected what the problem was, which happened to be an unusual problem. He sent me for immediate x-rays in the building and saw me again directly afterwards. He then ordered more testing which needed to be done at the hospital and on my next appointment recommended a very good specialist. Dr. Kacmar seems to really be well informed in the field of sports medicine and was able to diagnose a problem which other prominent orthos could not. Each time I have been at his office there has been a long wait, but once the Dr. arrives he takes his time and does not make the patient feel rushed.

    Ducat Chiropractic & Sports Medicine
I started seeing her in January. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She takes a lot of time to ask questions about your general health and activites. She will do a treatment plan from there. Her staff is very friendly and she is a good chiropractor. I would absolutely see her again.

It was great. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. The office was clean, bright and neat. I felt very much welcomed and appreciated by every staff person in the office. I was seen promptly and the discharge process was orderly and timely. I was able to get to work on time and I had peace of mind with my course of treatment.
