Couldn't have asked for a better contractor to work with. First project was to remodel my house. Things went so well ended up hiring Keith again to remodel a six-flat and a 2BR/2BA condo as well. Keith, and all of his subcontractors that I've worked with, are responsive, professional, show up on time, and do quality work. The biggest problem I have with contractors is usually punctuality and honesty. There are no such concerns working with Keith. For anyone looking for a reliable, honest, hard working contractor I strongly recommend reaching out to Kilcommon Construction, Inc.

Jeff and team were nothing short of phenomenal! After the 2019 Polar Vortex in Chicago, our condo association experienced a burst pipe at 8:30 am on a Saturday morning. Jeff was upfront about scope of work and cost when I explained the issue. They were very quick in locating the burst pipe, and although they had to cut into our wall, they displayed great care in making the least impact possible. The entire scope of work entailed finding the burst pipe, cutting into drywall, removing and replacing the pipe, and testing water pressure and water temperature prior to their departure. They also cleaned up debris generated from the project. This team is courteous, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend them and I will definitely reach out to The Plumbing Department, Inc. for future projects!

When temperatures dropped to -50 with wind chill, the pipes to our basement bathroom sink froze. And as soon as everything began to thaw, (on Friday night) we found that we had a ruptured hot water pipe. Water was shooting out of the wall all over the bathroom. When it became clear that our usual plumber wasn't going to show up on Saturday, I frantically called half-a-dozen plumbers from Angie's List. Only Charlie got back to me and agreed to show up after his next job. On a day that he was clearly being overwhelmed with calls from all over the city, Charlie kept his word and showed up with his partner Dimitri. They quickly figured out there were no other leaks and repaired the pipe. On top of it, Charlie spotted two other unrelated plumbing issues in our HVAC room. They were minor now but could have turned into bigger problems down the road. His thoroughness and attention to detail allowed him to spot these hidden problems and save us headaches down the road. We had our water working in under an hour (on a Saturday evening!) and he charged a very fair price given the demands upon his time. He left our house at 5pm, his phone blowing up from other customers. I asked if he was going to have an end to the day soon, but he said he still had hours to go...he had promised other worried homeowners that he would help them today. THAT's the kind of dedication I want from my plumber. Call Charlie with confidence.

Clifton runs a family business with him and his sons. I called him at 8pm the night before. Got back to me immediately and was there at 9:30 am the next day. Found 3 broken pipes in the ceiling and fixed them. Cleaned up and Done by 12:30. Good person and very prompt.

Due to extreme cold weather in Chicago, my kitchen and bathroom pipes froze. I found Power Plumbing & Sewer based on their very good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience with this company was poor. I called the morning I discovered the frozen pipes and spoke with the person who answers their phones (I did not get a name). She informed me that they were operating on a very long wait, due to many people experiencing the same issues. As a result, I was placed on the waiting list, which I fully expected. The woman I spoke with very clearly explained their pricing which was a base labor-only charge of $160 per worker, per hour. Overtime charges began after 3pm, at which point the labor cost would be time and a half. After explaining the size of my building (small 4-unit condo building), the woman informed me that a job that size could more than likely be done with a 1-man crew. I was agreeable to the terms she laid out and I was put on their waiting list. I received a call back from another woman at the company - Rae was her name - around 4:30pm the same day. Rae informed me that she had a 2-man crew available to come help and that minimum costs would be $160 per man at overtime pricing (x1.5 base price) with a 2-hour minimum. This meant the minimum charge was now $480 per man for a total charge of $960 minimum before any work was performed. I asked Rae to confirm this price to make sure I was understanding correctly and she very harshly explained to me that due to the extreme, emergency conditions, and due to the size of my building (...which I confirmed earlier in the morning on the first call with this company would only require a 1-man crew), the charge was accurate and justified. I was incredibly disappointed at hearing this and explained to Rae that I simply cannot afford to pay nearly $1000 as a minimum charge before any work is done. I felt misled and mistreated by this company. While I completely understand the dire circumstances that many people are dealing with throughout the Chicagoland area this winter, I feel that Power Plumbing & Sewer's pricing was completely unfair and I am left with the impression that they were trying to unfairly take advantage of customers who are in desperate need of emergency help during these extreme conditions. For comparison, I spoke yesterday with several other vendors with similar ratings on Angie's List who were charging closer to $100 additional for emergency or after-hours service, with no minimum charges prior to reviewing the exact work that needs to be done. Very disappointed with this company.

Goode Plumbing is so fantastic I would give them an A++++++ if I could. We had a pipe freeze and then burst in the morning of the deep freeze, and a plumber was at our door in 30 minutes. Alex did a magnificent job and it was all completed in less than 2 hours. Customer service at intake was also super helpful and responsive. I will not call any other plumber ever again. Amazing!

My family & I highly recommend this company to handle your plumbing needs. They were able come out in less than 24 hours & repair our pipes before the weather turned severe. Our guy Mike was professionally, courteous & did an outstanding job. We are also planning on a few spring plumbing projects & hands down Trojan Plumbing’s service, quality & affordable pricing cannot be beat!

Tony returned my call very fast, gave me a ballpark figure based on location I told him I think my ruptured pipe was. Larger companies wouldn't even give me their hourly rate for labor! He quickly found the burst pipe, replaced it, and also purchased and installed a pipe heating element to help keep it from happening again. He also replaced a leak he found that became apparent after the burst pipe was fixed, and proceed to insulate my pipes which was one of the main problems in the first place. Some rust clogged my faucet when turned the water back on (that bathroom was under construction and hadn't been used in months) and took the fixture off to unplug it. Finally, because I didn't have handles installed on my tub yet, he turned the H2O on with his pliers to help keep them from freezing again in this sun zero weather, as showed me how to do it myself. He went WAY ABOVE the call of duty. Other companies I called would have charged me at least twice what he did and done half as much.

I would have used them, but the timing did not work out. I found a plumber who could get there quicker. However, that did not work out. The next day, I found another plumber right before The Scottish Plumber called me back. I would definitely use them on a later date.
