  • I had my front yard landscaped by Provider name locked. . I made the mistake of allowing them to convince me to do the project in late fall (My home rehab project was not going to make the December deadline and thus I would not be able to move into the home until the Spring and had asked Provider name locked. to postpone the project until then since I would not be able to water the newly landscaped yard). Although the owner sent me an email stating he would replace anything in Spring that does not come up he did not keep his word. Here is his promise written in an email: Per our conversation, we will be out in the spring of 2014 to review the growth of all plantings from the fall. This may need to be late April or mid May depending on the weather. We will replace anything that does not come up, and anything that looks partially impaired that is written on the list(s) and drawings that Britny gave you. He did replace 3 trees that did not make it through the winter however one of the new trees he replaced had all the branches broken off one side and all the leaves had holes on them with brown edges. His response to me in an email was: We will be happy to "exchange" it at the price quoted by Britny, but be aware that it is not a manufactured item but rather a living plant and they have their quirks and imperfections--like people! And yes, you need to wait for the tree to fill out...it's what they do if given water, fertilization and care. I have hired a landscape companies in the past and all the trees and plants they planted were healthy and beautiful. The price Provider name locked. quoted was $1400 for them to replace their "quirky" tree. He also never replaced the plantings that did not come up in Spring. Thus, I have a brand new landscape project which cost me $19k that I never saw in full bloom. I will have to wait for the tree to grow branches and I will have to buy 8 new plantings that never made it through the winter. Bottom line: the owner of the company is not a "man of his word". Regretfully, I would not recommend Provider name locked. .

  • We love Provider name locked. !!
Provider name locked. Kormanik is great and answered all of our questions prior to signing up for the Spring - Fall lawn service.  We live in a 4 unit condo building in Chicago.  We own a corner lot, so our yard is bigger than most city condos, and was previously landscaped.
Despite their maintenance costs being a bit higher than some ($41/week - w/o coupon), we went with them because of their commitment to organic lawn care.  Growing our grass is a challenge given all the trees/lack of sun in one area.  we've tried our own fertilizing/seeding/sod, but nothing ever worked.
Now that we had a full season, we felt our grass really does look better than it has in a while.  Some patches are still a challenge, as some of the top seeding didn't take, so in the Spring we will try the slice seeding.  They do a good job of hitting the parkway areas that get foot traffic too.
They always come when they say they will, or will call if they have to delay a cut due to weather.  They do all the edging, trimming, and picked up all our fallen apples from a neighbor's tree.  HUGE help each week.
We didn't realize there was a separate maintenance crew from the fertlizing  & lawn care crew, so we sometimes would get two visits in one week, but we didn't mind.
Their fall clean up was really amazing.  Best $250 we have ever spent AND we didn't hurt the environment.
    Highly recommend!

  • Provider name locked. continues to provide excellent service.  He came last week to look at the shrubs that I thought needed replacing either because they died over the summer or because the removal of a neighbor's tree changed our sunlight and they weren't doing well.  He came back today with exactly the right plants and a crew to do the work.  He really understands our needs and tastes.  I highly recommend Greenstone.  Haven't got the bill yet.  Assume $300-500.
