  • I will start with a positive comment.  They were very clean and didn't make a mess.  Unfortunately, this is where the positive part of my review ends.  In cleaning the dryer vent, they caused about $1,000-$1,500 worth of damage.  The workers that were sent spoke absolutely NO english - NONE!  They were supposed to be here for 20 minutes, but they ended up being here for 1.5 hours because their equipment was STUCK in my ceiling!  They had to have 3 grown men pull REALLY h****** the equipment to get it out.  When it finally was pulled out, there was insulation on it, indicating that the pipe had broken.  The owner of the company spoke to my property manager and assured him that they would resolve the issue.  He told us that it would be safe to use the dryer until they were able to fix it, however I was nervous because I was very afraid that they were wrong.  But they ASSURED me it would be ok.  When I went to use the dryer, I kept on checking on it because I had it on high heat.  It wasn't getting hot and then about 2 minutes later, I started to smell smoke.  I went to the dryer and saw sparks in the back and then the circuit breaker went to work and turned it of because MY DRYER CAUGHT ON FIRE!  I called the property manager and told her that it wasn't safe and had I not been watching and had a dryer with this safety mechanism, there would have been a big fire!  The company gave us some VERY bad advice.  When they came to fix it, they said that they had to cut holes in my 9 month old ceiling, with no communication, there was a build up of lint in the ceiling and they took pictures of it (without my authorization) and said that the pictures were proof of having a build up of lint for 4 years when, in all actuality, the build up of lint was caused by the break in the pipe that they caused when they had to pull their equipment out of my ceiling.  Furthermore, if my pipe was broken already, why would I have had a BRAND NEW ceiling placed without fixing it????  At this point, they are acting TREMENDOUSLY unprofessionally and are being very crass in their emails and trying to push the blame on me!  They have absolutely NO intention on fixing this problem!

  • Provider name locked. was incredible;  Very nice and professional and super knowledgeable.  He came to our place to clean our dryer vent as our dryer had not been drying clothes as well as it had previously.  He took a look and noticed our dryer exhaust hose was way too long for our set up and it was folded multiple times causing a loss of heat for the dryer.  He shorten the hose and reconnected everything at no additional charge.  He also gave some great advice to a newer home owner about how often we should get our other appliances maintained.  He performed the dryer vent cleaning as well and I have to report our dryer is now drying clothes much quicker than it had previously.  Couldn't thank Provider name locked. enough and will no doubt recommend him and hire him again in the future.

  • The cleaning of my dryer vent went just fin. It's what happened afterwards. The two technicians doing the cleaning saw a split in my dryer vent, told me about it, and said they could repair it by taping it. I said thank you and asked would there be an extra charge, as I had paid for a $100 Angie's List deal for "dryer vent cleaning" only. They said no, there would be no extra charge. They said they'll tape the vent now, and the company would also monitor the vent to see if a more extensive repair would be necessary when the company comes for their annual inspection a year from now; they were now putting me on their customer list for an annual inspection. Two days later, the tape the technicians applied peeled off; the split was open again.

I left a voicemail for the company asking them to come repair the tape job, and the company never called back or left a voicemail for me. I heard nothing from them for several days: there were no voicemails and I only one "missed call" that could have been from their area code. When I called the company again, the man I spoke with (I am not sure of his name) said they attempted to reach me "multiple" times. I do not know why the company had to misrepresent their attempts to contact me.

Then the man told me the company would not come back out to re-tape the dryer vent without charging me a service (or trip?) charge. The man claimed because I should have been charged for the initial tape job, but wasn't, I now owe a service charge if they were to come back out and fix the taping. I disagreed and said that I will pay for a full repair if they come back out and it appears a full (non-tape-job) repair is necessary, but I should not have to pay for them to come re-apply the tape that was applied only two days ago, especially when I was told there would be no extra charge for that service in the first place. We were not able to resolve this.

I needed to end the conversation to go back to work, so I asked to resume the conversation the next day. I left a voicemail for the company the next day, and the company never called me back. To this day I have not heard from them.

In sum, I am satisfied with the dryer vent cleaning: the technicians were punctual, efficient, and my vent appears to have been cleaned properly. I am highly dissatisfied with what happened afterwards when I reached out to the company about the tape job that came undone.
