Welding reviews in Charlotte

  • We contracted with Appalachian Air Ducts in 2013, through Angie's List,  and were quite pleased.  Two gentlemen dealt quickly and professionally with our needs.  The bill was $69.
This year we contracted through Environmental Cleaning Solutions for $69.  A charge of $99 was added. One gentleman did the work, and we were told the space between the drier and the outside vent added the extra cost.  Same house, same distance between drier and outside vent as 3 yrs. ago.  He also took the outside vent cover off and apparently took it with him.  It is spring.  We can only hope there are no bird's nests within.  We shall not call for their services again.

  • The metal around both front front axles of my push lawn mower had "torn" because my son never lifted the front wheels off the ground when he turned the mower and, over time, the sideways force had ripped the frame so the wheels were wobbly  and leaned outward at an angle.  I took it in to Simpson's Welding and Josh, Bubba's son, said he could fix it.  He called me about a week later to say it was ready and I just picked it up yesterday.  One side he simply welded but the other side was so far gone that he had cut out the bad metal, welded in a thick metal plate, and drilled the necessary holes.  I am confident that it is stronger now than it was originally.  He charged me $30 for half an hour of labor.  The shop is nothing to look at but they do good work at a fair price.

  • I got a callback within a few minutes to schedule a time.  I was expecting to have to wait days for an appointment, but Hunter arrived about an hour later, as agreed.  He proceeded to figure out how to repair the frame, told me what it would take, and proceeded to do it.  He was easygoing and very professional, and the repair seems to be strong.

  • I was very happy with the service that this company performed.  The problem was a very difficult problem which most other oven repair and welding companies refused to assist with.  This company instilled confidence in me that they would help create a solution for the problem, which they did.  I now have a functioning oven and would recommend this company's welding services to others.

  • tree fell on cast aluminum post lantern breaking the top of the lantern light from the base. Simpson's welded the base back to the lantern frame. They welded the inside and the outside to make it strong. I took the broken lantern to their shop and it took about 30 minutes for Simpsons to do the welding and for it to cool to the touch. A great job for a reasonable price.

  • This is the dumpster door we have been waiting for! Finally a fence contractor who understands that dumpster gates have to be sturdy enough to withstand the punishment of the trash trucks. And they're beautiful, too! Bill at Outdoor Life really went out of his way to listen to our requirements and make sure he fulfilled them. His contract was amazingly detailed, and he provided good communication throughout the project to let me know what the status was. The price was higher than what we've paid in the past, but it's worth it because the work is far superior than what we've had in the past. We love the results so much, we're having him replace a second set of gates immediately.

  • I took the carrier to the shop. They did the job, which took less then five minutes, right away. This is a small shop in a semi-rural setting. The shop is not set up for a customer experience. The personal are polite and friendly.

  • Called Chantilly Welding, told him a had a set of wrought iron chairs from the 1940's that belonged to my family. One of the chair seats had rusted though and broken off the chair frame. Told me to bring it by, they are open M-F 7am - 6pm and Saturday from 7am - 2pm. Took chair by the shop -- actually it's a HUGE garage behind his house -- and he told me it would take about 30 minutes. I dropped it off and came back 30 minutes later, it looked great!

  • I needed some sandblasting and welding done to an old coal burning stove. According to the information, DC did both. When I called, I found out that they only did sandblasting. The cost was estimated at $120.00, which was more than I expected to spend.

  • I DROPPED THE HANDLE OFF AT NOON AND DIDN'T SAY WHEN I WOULD LIKE IT BACK. EXPECTING THE REPAIR WOULD TAKE A COUPLE OF DAYS I WAS QUITE SURPRISED WHEN THEY CALLED ME AT 3:00 PM THE SAME DAY TO SAY IT WAS FIXED. IT LOOKS AS GOOD AS ''OLD''. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY WELDING REPAIR WORK.
