I was uncomfortable as soon as I walked into Dr. Provider name locked. 's waiting room. Signs everywhere about when/how/where to get your drug refills .I've never seen this in a doctor's office before. The first time patient forms had several pages devoted exclusively to drugs/usage of drugs/and office rules about drugs. Waited over an hour. When the nurse came to get me, she had me give a urine sample - she stated that it would only be tested if necessary. Dr. Provider name locked. gave my foot only the briefest of exams, and had not read the information that I had forwarded from my previous doctor. He had no suggestions for anything that might help with the actual physical problem. No physical therapy. No suggestions for braces. No suggestions for surgery. In fact, he had no suggestions or referrals of any sort other than drugs. He left the exam room, saying he would return. The nurse came back with a prescription and to tell me they wanted me back in 2 weeks. What for, I don't know. I cancelled the appointment. I felt as though I had completely wasted my valuable time. I was very disappointed with the entire visit. I received no help with my problem.
I just received the bill. I was charged over $300 for 2 lab tests, even though I stated that I did not wish to have any drugs. I was told by the billing company (a separate company) that Dr. Provider name locked. always runs these lab tests on patients. So, the nurse just flat out lied to me.This office gives physiatrists a bad name.
