  • The Pharmacy Tech asked me if I had filled prescriptions there before.  I said yes, but not at that store.  She did not mention at all that their store is on a different computer system from the other Target pharmacies.  She did not ask me to provide my current address and phone number.  Evidently, as became apparent later, they are all on separate computer systems and she had my address and phone number from 7 years ago.

She then asked me what brand of the medicine I was taking.  She said the law required her to give me the same brand as I had taken before.  I told her again that this was a generic. I had never had any pharmacy question me about what brand of this generic medicine I needed to take - and I have taken this medicine for 20 years.  The tech then showed me capsules and asked me if this looked like the one I had taken before.  I told her I didn't know and I asked her if she was able to fill the prescription.  She said yes.

I then asked her if she had my prescription in stock.  She said yes, that she could fill it and I should come back in 25 minutes to pick it up.  So I wasted 25 minutes walking around the store.  When I came back, the Pharmacy Tech said that she only had a 3 day supply of the medication and could do a partial fill.  I reminded her that I had asked if she had the medication in stock and  she had said yes.  I already had 3 days supply of the medicine at home, so there was no need for me to waste 25 minutes of my time walking around the store.

She then said that she had tried to call me but my phone was disconnected.  She showed me the phone number that she had  and it was my phone number from 7 years ago, when I lived near that store.  If she had bothered to tell me that they didn't share computer systems with their other stores, I would have provided my current phone number, although I would not have been at home, as I was waiting in the store.  She told me I could pick up the remainder of the prescription in 2 days.

Customer service was sadly lacking.  Better training of pharmacy techs needs to take place.  Target should be making a guest wait 25 minutes on a prescription that won't be ready for 2 days.  I am very disappointed in this store's pharmacy.

  • I went in to the minute clinic because I have asthma and I was developing a nasty cough. I waited about 20 minutes to be seen and when the nurse came in she immediately held her nose and said..."Do you have to smoke so much right before you come in here?" I don't SMOKE. But the friend who drove me did. I told her I didn't smoke and she looked at me as if to say,...yeah, sure you don't....My breathing was ragged and my cough was pretty painful but she kept talking about my "smoking" and how the smell of my clothes was distracting. She looked at my throat and it was red, she listened to my chest and it sounded terrible. Then she made the comment, "Well I could write you a prescription but I don't think it will do much good if you keep smoking like that." I again told her I was a non smoker and she replied, "Come on, it's pretty obvious that you do!" She begrudgingly wrote a prescription and rushed me out of the office. It was a terrible experience and by the time I made it to the pharmacy window I was in tears

  • I have been going to them for many years. They are very good about telling you what the side effects are and how to take any medication. They are very caring. Anybody would be happy and surprised to get personal attention from their pharmacy. They are very good. I give him a very fine recommendation.
