  • My little Terrier-mix, Provider name locked. , was in the last stages of her life with kidney failure. I had taken her in to her regular vet over the weekend prior to her crossing over where I was given the grim diagnosis. They also informed me that she would go quickly. As the hours and days progressed, I saw Provider name locked. 's rapid decline. When I begin hearing her moans of pain, I knew that it was time to end her suffering.
My original plan was to take her into Provider name locked. , her regular veterinarian, on Tuesday October 28th, to be euthanized.  I had even made an appointment with Provider name locked. . However one thing lead to another. Over the course of Monday night (Oct. 27th), I began researching pet cemeteries, which somehow lead to learning about at home euthanasia. Financially, I could not afford to do the pet cemetery but the at home euthanasia greatly  appealed to me. Due to Provider name locked. 's apparent discomfort, I just didn't have the heart to make her endure the car ride to Provider name locked. / PetSmart even though it was only two miles from my house. Therefore, I decided on at home euthanasia. After researching several companies in the area, I decided on Provider name locked. .
When I got up on Tuesday morning (had the day off due to some needed household repairs), I called Dr. Provider name locked. , explained what was going on and Provider name locked. 's diagnosis. When I explained some the symptoms that I was now witnessing, he explained to me that she was beginning to through up blood. He scheduled Provider name locked. 's procedure for mid-afternoon.
Dr. Provider name locked. arrived promptly. He checked Provider name locked. 's vitals, her little heart was racing a mile a minute. He explained everything to me during each step of the process. I also liked that he wanted to know more about Provider name locked. ,asking me what was her claim to fame.
When the time came, she went quickly and peacefully. Dr. Provider name locked. said that I had called him at just the right time and that because of how quickly she went that Provider name locked. was ready to go. Afterwards, Dr. Provider name locked. made a paw print for me and stamped Provider name locked. 's name above the print.. He then wrapped her in a blanket and took her to his car.
I chose to have her remains handled in the communal cremation with her ashes along with the other furbabies from the communal cremation scattered at Blowing Rock. For me, it was about treasuring the memories of the last 14 1/2 years as opposed to having an urn of her ashes sitting on a bookcase.
I appreciate the caring nature of Dr. Provider name locked. , the hug he gave me immediately afterwards along with the card I received about 2 weeks later. Provider name locked. wasn't just part of my family, she was my family as I'm single with no children. If I decide to get another furbaby and if I have to endure this again, I will definitely go the at home euthanasia route and will call Dr. Provider name locked. . Thank you so much for offering this service.

  • Dr Provider name locked. was incredible. He was very professional and it was obvious
that he really wanted it to be the best experience for us as this sort
of thing goes. He was prompt, compassionate, and his demeanor and words
were of great comfort to us. Most importantly we never felt rushed at
all and the care he provided was top notch. Provider name locked. left us in the most
peaceful manner possible and it allowed us to have the type of closure
that every pet parent would want! Thank you very much Dr. Provider name locked. !

  • Maybe it’s a little morbid to write a recommendation for pet cremation services, but I had such a positive experience at this place, I feel I need to get the word out.  So my kitty died, and my husband and I had no idea what to do with her remains.  We didn’t want to bury her, and we didn’t want to leave her at the vet for them to take care of her.  So we found this place online.

We called (this was within an hour of losing her), and we made an appointment to bring her down that same day.  When we brought her in, they met us at the front door.  No awkward introductions, no trying to be fakey Provider name locked. .  They just opened the door for us and greeted us with, “I am so very sorry.”  It was a relief to not have to try and put on a brave face after just having lost our beloved cat.  They Provider name locked. us into a private room where they provided a box that was lined with a padded pet bed for us to place her in.  Then they left the room and let us say our final good-Provider name locked. to her.  When we were ready, they Provider name locked. us into another waiting room while we waited for her to be cremated.  They had light snacks and drinks for us.  They chatted briefly with us, and then left us alone.  They have a wide variety of urns and memorial boxes; we went with the basic one.  It was a small wooden box (the wood was finished with a walnut stain).   They placed her ashes in the box, and the box in a bag along with a sympathy card.  The whole process took about an hour.  Their prices were very reasonable.

They also offer a pickup and delivery service, and they guarantee your pet’s ashes to be delivered to you within 24 hours.

What Provider name locked. us to this place is the fact they only cremate one animal at a time.  We found out in our research that some places will wait until they have 5 or 6 animals, and then cremate them together and divide the remains.  This was kind of disturbing to us.  You also have to wait a week for some places to return your pet’s ashes to you, and some other places won’t even let you see their facilities.  Had we taken our cat to another place, we didn’t feel certain that we’d be guaranteed to even be getting her ashes back.  Provider name locked. was so up front about their practices.  You can even sit in the room with unit while your pet is being cremated.  We chose not to, but I felt that was a display of how ethical their practices are.

Provider name locked. was an unexpected comfort to us at the end of a long and horrible day.  They clearly understand that pets are family.  We were treated with such respect and compassion.  And the whole process had a sense of formality to it that we were able to get a sense of closure.  I am so grateful to them.
