  • Well done job. Communications with the owner Bill went very well, the install appeared to go smoothly, price was reasonable. Their staff has lots of experience. Provider name locked. was recommended to us by another HVAC contractor for this type of work. We would definitely use Provider name locked. for future HVAC needs.

  • Provider name locked. , the Comfort Consultant, was easy to scheduled, punctual and very careful to protect my carpets from the dust in the attic. He is highly experienced and knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining the benefits of each option that he was planning to quote. He proposed modifications to the existing duct system to improve airflow. All my technical questions were answered patiently and everything made sense. He also verified the current equipment capacity with a load calculation. I received the complete quote via email the same evening. The next days he promptly answered follow-up questions.
HVAC parts are covered by the manufacturer warranty (Trane) but Provider name locked. included the longest warranty of all competitors for labor. Based on Provider name locked. 's explanations about the company and its staff I am confident that they would have done a great job, had I gone with them.
I ultimately decided against the Trane product because their smallest available furnace was still a little over-sized for my house and the extra cost for industry leading equipment, long warranty and premium service would not have amortized since I am planning to move out of the home within the next 3 years.

  • We hired Provider name locked. to install a new HVAC system.  We got quotes from several companies but one referred us to Provider name locked. as specializes in new construction.  Note, now we've been told they do mainly tract homes which could explain our problems.

All  quotes, companies who ran calcs stated we needed between a 3 & 3.5 ton unit.  They came back and stated 2.5 ton unit.  When I raised concerns I got the spill about Manual J and not oversizing.

I responded with what we expect and we'd see when it was installed.  If there was a problem they'd have to fix.

Unit was installed and the day we connected power we were told to put the thermostat on 69 degrees and run the unit for 24 hours.  I responded, we keep our thermostat at 79.  We only want to turn it down to 76 if we're entertaining.  But they said 69.

Well the unit wouldn't pull down to 69 in 24 hours, even overnight.  Our days in Provider name locked. were mid 90's.  I turned the unit off.  Well they called for what I assumed final payment.  So on 7/28 I turned the unit back on.  Note our house would stay at 79 to 80 on a 95 degree day without the unit on.

I put the unit on the low 70's at 2pm and let it run.  After 4 hours, it was at like 76.  At 6pm, it started to rain and the outside temp got down to 70's that night.  Running all night, I think the unit only managed 73 with it in the 70's outside.

Called and left a vmail there was a problem.  Never got a returned call so I called Carrier and other companies trying to figure out what was going on fearing the worse.  After companies told me the house requires a 3.5 ton unit, I sent an email for documentation purposes.  I get a response.  I sent the pictures of the thermostat on the 7/28.  They agreed there was a problem but it was serviceable.  Heater core was energizing when the unit comes on.

I said fine and met them at the house.  While techs were here it was low 89 outside, 79 inside.  We turned the unit down to 74.  They were here close to an hour and it only dropped to 78 so they witnessed the problem.  They couldn't find anything so their story went to it being a problem to now an AC unit needs to run all the time to be efficient.  I called BS and we compared houses.  I have a 3100 sq ft previous home and my electric averages $120 a month in the summer.

The tech was bragging about his 30k system but his electric was $250.  When I explained the math and how his house's electric was double my equivalent sized he was ready to leave.

Regional person had called before.  Wanted to run off his mouth and explain Manual J and I told him I didn't want to hear it.  We have a problem and either their manual j is off or it's a crock.

Well after they left, then the pix we took they accused us of manipulating the thermostat and there was no problem.  We have the Provider name locked. that can be monitored online.  We offered them an account to monitor it.   Declined

So we reach out to corporate thinking they just have some bad people here in Provider name locked. .  Many calls since Provider name locked. and they've never returned a call.  What I presume is the owner, sent an email including a lawyer.  Said he looked at their manual j and was confident it was correct.

I've since contacted 2 other professional HVAC companies, one referred by Carrier and then an independent company who sizes units for homes and they all state we have to have a 3.5 ton unit.  They ignore all of this and last week we get a letter from an attorney to pay the $1933 remaining.

Originally, we told them to fix but after what they did, we told them to refund us our money so we can get a company that knows what they are doing.  They haven't responded in a month or two now.

Any response we expect attacks and diversions away from the problem which we have undisputable evidence to anybody with common sense.  Refund our money and take your equipment and we'll find a company to install the properly sized unit.
