Equipment: The equipment seems to work well. The price was great through Angie's list and the support service was very helpful in walking me through how to install appropriately. I appreciate the fulfillment of any issues with equipment performed by Provider name locked. .
Service: Our representative that I talked to worked with me to change the package to suit the needs of my home. he was very courteous and responsive.
So far, we have unfortunately experienced the fire alarm due to cooking (user error) and several false alarms from the motion sensors (user error, again) because of leaving a door open and another for a sensor that I move around to different windows at different times. Provider name locked. called within seconds of the alarm recognizing this lapse.
I would definitely recommend Provider name locked. for a home alarm system

When we sold our home they attempted to collect beyond the contracted date. I was forced to wait on hold three times for over 30 minutes at a time.
Getting the service was fine, but the breakup is ugly. Be careful what you sign up for and just know you can get your own Costco purchased system with all the same benefits without all the pain.

Very friendly people, sales process was quick and easy. Received the components quickly and called the company to walk through the set up and coding of every component. There the problems started. Two of the parts were defective and they had to send me alternates. Then I had to get on the phone again to code and install those (~30 mins). Then I started i getting some strange beeping ... called them to troubleshoot and tests revealed a bad wireless signal. The initial salesperson was supposed to ask which wireless provider had the best signal to the house, but didn't. So that main panel had to then be sent back and another received. Another 45 mins on the phone. Then within the next two months, had 4 other components fail ... one of the replacements sent was faulty as well ... so chalk up another 2-3 hours on the phone. Each person i talked to was very pleasant and said this was so unusual ... which at first i believed but then it became difficult, since roughly half HALF of the components had to be replaced for one reason or another.
After we got past that ... the system works fine. But it was a rough several months, and not in my opinion worth the price and having to sign a 3 year contract. The other aspect of the contract that i find bothersome is that within the first 'trial period' you have to decide which price/service option you want - and once you decide and are out of the trial, you cannot change your mind for the rest of the 3 years. Not like other services where you can upgrade or downgrade as necessary based on usage. So ... yes I have an alarm system that works, and my house is secure. But in retrospect I'm not sure i would go this route again.
