Dr. Provider name locked. is great. The office is vaguely corporate feeling (lots of staff, and the shot room can have an assembly line feel to it at first), but everyone I have interacted with there has been very professional. At my first appointment Dr. Provider name locked. tested my allergies, then started me on immunization shots. After about a year of shots I had a follow up with her. I was relatively pleased with my progress, but apparently much of it was due to the changing seasons. She gave me a referral to an ENT for surgery on my sinuses. I have another follow-up with Dr. Provider name locked. soon, so hopefully there has been more progress.- Zachary B.
The doctors here really seem to care about my health and they are very thorough. They are very easy to get along with, too. The bad thing is that the billing system here is incredibly confusing and you might have to call them to figure it out. Other than that, I'm very happy with this practice.- MARK J.
I am satisfied with the medical care that I receive from Provider name locked. and Allergy. I receive allergy shots every four weeks and have been getting shots at the practice for a long time. However, my experience with the billing department over the past year has been terrible. The practice converted to a new billing system during the year and ever since, there have been problems.
When the practice first converted to the new system, the bills that I received contained charges that should have been submitted to my insurance company - instead Provider name locked. and Allergy charged the full amounts to me for immediate payment. I called the office the first time this happened and was told that they were having problems with the new billing system and I should disregard the bill. I was told the same time when the next monthly bill arrived, which also showed the full amount of billed charges due and payable by me, instead of submitting them to insurance.
After about the third month of getting a bill that contained charges that showed 100% due and payable by me, I called again and the staff said that my Aetna insurance had expired. I pointed out to the representative that Aetna was my insurance carrier in 2010, not 2011. I also told her that I did not understand how they could have correctly billed United Healthcare for part of the year in 2011 and then all of a sudden, Provider name locked. my insurance information and try to bill my 2010 insurance company. The representative said that the error occurred as part of their system conversion. She said that they would then submit the claims to United Healthcare. That was a month ago, and some of the claims were submitted and processed by United Healthcare
However, when I received the monthly bill in the mail yesterday, it still contained charges for two dates of service that had not been submitted to United Healthcare for processing. The bill was still charging 100% of those visits to me for immediate payment. I called the practice and left a message, asking again that the staff submit those charges to United Healthcare and call me back to let me know that it had been done. A representative called me back and simply left a message saying that she couldn't leave me a detailed message and I needed to call her back.
I should not have to take time off from work, multiple times each month, to address errors caused by the Provider name locked. and Allergy billing department. It is inexcusable that the billing errors have been going on for this long. I am very dissatisfied with the billing department at this practice. To me, this bad experience outweighs the positive experience I have had with the medical care at this practice over the past year.
This practice needs to get its billing issues corrected once and for all. Then, they need to look at what went wrong with their billing system conversion that Provider name locked. to these ongoing errors.- MARK AND LISA B.
