Foundation Repair reviews in Boston

  • We own a 100 year old Triple Decker in East Boston.  Our neighbor's ground level on
one side has come up over the level of the foundation over the years,
and water and moisture has run up over the foundation and into the basement
for years.  This left a rotten sill along the long side of our home (40') and some bad floor joists.  Provider name locked.
excavated the ground, secured the outside wall, removed the old sill
and jacked up and replaced some of the old floor joists.  He then made
the old foundation higher with new re-bar and concrete, and put in a new pressure treated
sill.  Some of the floor joists needed to be sistered too.  After finishing he stuccowed the outside wall up approximately 2 feet to protect against moisture and re-shingled.  Not only is it functional but it looks great.
Provider name locked. 's crew was very professional and cleaned up every night.  They asked for our preferences in taking down some of the old dividing walls in the basement and cemented a hole left by a temporary support wall.
Provider name locked. also worked well with our engineer who was very particular, which we grateful for.

  • Because you offer a wide range of complimentary services, which allowed us to use one company instead of 2-3. Prompt Professional work.

  • I asked to have my basement waterproofed due to flooding. After quoting a price of $5800.00 he asked for a deposit. I asked for his credentials, license, insurance, etc. and he never responded to my request. I would ask for more specifics about the process of waterproofing the basement and he would send me to the website. There he list 3 or 4 things in very vague terms. I wrote him several times and it would take him more than a week to respond. My last email to him was in June of 2013 asking again for his credentials. It is now September 2013 and I have not heard from him. He was quick to contact me and ask me for a 20% deposit.
He was obviously only interested in selling his product. I have since then done some further research and discerned that his process would have been a waste of money. When I asked about attacking the problem from the exterior he was insistent that that approach was not necessary. The work on the exterior was indeed the correct approach and I am no longer have several inches of water flooding my basement. I have since that time found someone else to do the finishing of the interior walls and floor.
