How to Make Kitchen Appliances Last Longer

Appliance Repair reviews in Boston

John called back like his voicemail message states. He said he would call an hour before he came on a certain date. He came about an hour or so later than what he said he would. He checked out the dryer, testing different elements of it and then identified the problem. Fixed it, tested it again and it was heating again. It's running better than it ever has in the 7+ years we've had the dryer. He was polite, happy to explain what he thought was the problem, explained how he figured the problem out and then how he fixed it. He cleaned up after himself and you wouldn't have known he had been there. He was at our house for about 2.5 hours total and we paid him $120 for fixing our dryer. I think it was a good price for getting our dryer fixed, which will hopefully last several more years.

I was pleasantly surprised to get a call the same day I left the message. They knew right what the problem was and were able to fix the stove within 20 minutes. They even fixed a burner that I had been lighting manually. I would definitely call them again for any appliance that needed fixing in my home. They only thing is that the correct phone number and email is not listed on Angies website. It should be 617-448-3835. I looked it up on my own.

Northeast Appliance did a wonderful job. All the other appliance repair companies didn't want to come because my washer and dryer units were stacked. Northeast Appliance came, diagnosed the problem and fixed the broken lock in less than an hour.

Justin was excellent. He came right in and got to work. He was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant. The new ignitor was installed in 20 minutes. Very efficient. I found the service fee a little high, but don't know the industry standard. I would definitely use them again! Highly recommend!

Tony was incredible. We called him when our 5 year old Samsung TV stopped working and he came out the same day! (FYI- The other highly rated company we found on here was going to take a week, and charge us just for looking at it!) Based on the information we gave Tony he showed up prepared with the parts and everything, ready to fix the problem. He worked for about an hour repairing the capacitors and making sure everything was working fine before he left. He was punctual, professional and thorough- we would highly recommend!

While installing the lighting, Victor found some code violations. We made an appointment to correct the violations. He did not keep the appointment and did not call to say that he would not come. We rescheduled, but again he did not show and did not call. A tenant was involved. He also overcharged and would not return the difference. I was very disappointed.

It was great! He came quickly, diagnosed the problem, got the refrigerator/freezer going again. It looks like I may need a part to keep it going permanently, so he is looking into the cost of that for me. I will definitely call him whenever I need appliance repair!

I suspect that this guy is an alcoholic! He was supposed to order a part and promised to call me back "next week". After a couple weeks I called him but his voice mail was full and was not accepting messages. A couple weeks later he called me and said he thought he had a part there for my refrigerator. "Great," I said, "Approximately how much is this going to cost?" After a long pause he said he'd call me back with a price. A month later I called him on a Saturday around 3pm, and after about 20 rings he answered sounding like he just woke up. He said he didn't think he had the part anymore, and accused me of blowing him off and sticking him with the cost of the part. Typical alcoholic scenario: can't remember whats going on and always blames other people! He agreed to come fix my fridge, but never called me back. I hope Chris gets some help for what ails him, but in the mean time avoid this guy if you can!

These guys are awesome. When my Wolf oven wasn't lighting up (36" gas range - 6 burner GR366), I called Wolf customer support, who suggested I talk to Clarke Appliances in Milford. Unfortunately the soonest they could schedule me was 10 days out. So instead I found Appliance Works of Boston. The owner called me back within 20min of leaving a message, and he gave me a 2h window the next day. The next day came, and Scott (the owner) and Michael showed up as promised (with a call 30min in advance). They were very professional, super quick to diagnose the problem, had the right replacement part in the van, and was in-and-out within about 30-45min. All told I spent about half what I might have with Clarke. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

He quickly determined that the problem was our Disposal Unit in the sink... he explained why and fixed it quickly. He then looked at all of our Frigidaire appliances and proposed we get a Service Contract to cover all of them and the benefits of doing so. We did!
