Television Repair reviews in Birmingham

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Wonderful they fixed problems that I have been told by other companies could not be fixed. When it was time to settle up I was expecting an astronomical bill but they actually charged half and I paid the full 425 plus a 300 dollar tip.

  • He told me he didn't care what the customer said and I needed to put all the screws back in it before he would consider a repair. I felt he was rude, but that is just my opinion. He is probably a nice guy when the customer hasn't done more than half the work for him.
    - Kelly K.
  • On time, pleasant, thorough.  Did everything professionally and cleaned up afterwards.  Went above and beyond.  There was a part missing from the new mounting and he replaced it with one of his own at no cost to allow the tv to be hung that day.  Would highly recommend this company.

  • I typically don't give F reviews, but this was one of the worst experiences I've had with TV repair. It took over a month, two trial parts and three visits for them to tell me it would cost more to fix my TV than to buy a new one. The guy came twice saying it was a certain part that needed to be replaced, and each time I waited 3-5 days for the part to come in, and then another week before they were able to come and say it didn't work. On the third time they said it would cost more to fix my TV than it would be just to buy a new one.
After this experience, we contacted Bluff Park TV repair. The guy picked up the TV, brought it back to his shop for assessment and called me back the next day with an estimate for repair. We agreed on a price, he fixed it and it worked!

    Update 1/19/2014
After reading my reviews, Toxey, the customer service manager for Service Care contacted me directly to apologize and offer a full refund of our service visit. He was concerned that his technician wasn't able to diagnose our problem appropriately and promised to follow-up with the person directly to make sure this situation wouldn't happen again.

  • We initially contacted Service Care to repair our TV. After a month and three times with Barry replacing parts and not being able to fix our TV, he said it was irreparable. Since the TV was still under an AMEX extended warranty, we called Bluff Park TV hoping someone might be more knowledgeable about TV repair. The guy is a little rough around the edges, but he really knows TVs. He came to our house, picked up the TV and brought it back to his shop for assessment. I received a call the next day estimating the cost and detailing the work that needed to be done. There was no negotiating the price, but he repaired it and delivered it back to our house in pristine condition. It's working beautifully and he included a 1 year warranty on parts and labor for an additional $50. I highly recommend Bluff Park TV. They really know their stuff.

  • The company came highly rated by our installing company and they lived up to that reputation. I had already taken the plamsa down from the wall and when the technician showed up all he had to do was take off the back. he immediately found the problem. he showed up on time and was very nice and explained all that he was doing. He called in the part number and was told that they would have to order it. he left after assuring us that he would call when the part came in, so he could come and install it. A coupled of days later he had called and showed up on time to put in the new board. I was not at home and in fact i was on a trip and my wife asked if he would help with putting the plasma back on the wall. He was very gracious and helped her get it up. the plasma was working fine since the repair.

  • They did work for me about a month ago. They repaired a TV for me at my home. One guy came to fix the work. They did a good job and the TV was working afterward and it is still working today. I used them many years ago and I will definitely use them again. They also had reasonable pricing.
    - Scott B.
  • They sent someone out to look at it, and the cost was going to be a lot, and so I felt that it was cheaper for me just to get a new TV. I have used them in the past, but I didn't have any pluses or minuses in this occassion. The positive was that they came when they said they would come.

  • I paid $75.00 to get a diagnosis I had already made. The only useful contribution was the exact name of the board that needed to be replaced (FUB board) - which I could have deduced with a little bit more research. I was the one who had to point out that the lines on the screen were not there when certain functions were in use. I was the one who figured out the problem. All I got from them was that the board I needed to replace was no longer manufactured (tv was 6 months out of warranty at that point). I was able to find a used board and I had my husband replace it for $150.00. This $75.00 diagnosis was a waste of my time and money.

  • Excellent. The owner was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The price was very affordable. I'm completely satisfied and would definitely use him again.
