    AES Builder & Home Improvements
From start to finish, AES was responsive and professional. They are not cheap, but unless you have a close family friend that is a contractor, this is the company to go to for integrity and work that is completed in an excellent manner.

    America's Best Patio Rooms
They were prompt with quotes and reasonably priced. The calls and estimate all went really well. We ended up deciding against the project only because we decided to move instead of expanding on our current home. I'm definitely keeping them in mind for future projects at our new home!

Cool Branch Clearing and Construction, Inc.
Note: Cool Branch is a licensed business in Maryland operated by John Newberry. MHIC# 130199. Not sure why the MHIC number information wasn't included on Angies? We selected Cool Branch to build our county permitted 12' x 12' screen patio and 14' x 12' outside deck & benches, including the need to match/blend with an existing higher level deck on the house. Note: Electrical work was contracted separately. Full disclosure .... through friends, we knew some of John's early career background as a cabinet maker which was one of the reasons we chose to hire him, anticipating he would pay close attention to detail. We were not disappointed and could not be more happy with the quality of John's workmanship. It was a pleasure to work with John who anticipated, coordinated and communicated days ahead of his need for feedback in order to avoid mis-steps and get the right materials on site at the right time. To meet the project requirements, John also researched and special ordered items including a special ceiling fan fitting, no-see-um screening and composite bench materials. Although the timeline for the work was impacted by inclement weather and some family commitments on John's part it was still completed ahead of a planned July 4 party. Cool Branch is a small business so John planned and completed the work himself with support from his helper Sam. Both were always courteous, friendly and trustworthy. Since completion we have received complements on the finished product from friends, relatives and neighbors. We continue to enjoy the completed patio/deck and to admire John's workmanship. We will certainly consider soliciting John for any future construction work.

    Shoreline Remodeling
I called Steve in reference to a Kitchen remodeling after he did the same thing for a relative. Relative said Shoreline did a good job so I thought maybe he can do the same for me. Well little did I know. Steve showed up on time it was around July 10. My wife and I told him what we wanted done He seemed knowledgable and wanting to do the job. Even told us where we could go to pick out cabinets. Steve said give him about a week and he would send me an estimate. Nothing. I texted him on July 24th and never heard back. I called him and no response. Simple remodeling, new cabinets, new floor and moving of stove. No estimate was given or money exchanged hands. Cricketts.

    AES Builder & Home Improvements
Tim (Owner) is very responsive. He really wants his customers to be satisfied, and will do every reasonable thing to make that happen. The foreman on our job (David) really knew his stuff. We are very pleased with the end result and our enjoying our two 'new' rooms.

    Starcom Design Build Corporation
Great! Bill Miner and Scott were very nice and professional. My husband and I met with them to discuss the jobs. They are very knowledgeable. I was totally impressed with their presentation. I felt comfortable with them and that I could trust their. They exceeded my expectations! We are very pleased. They guarantee their work for five years. We have told our neighbors about them. We will definitely use them again.

    Morris Remodeling Inc
We reviewed several options with Morris at our first meeting in April, and he really seemed to be the guy to nail things down after meeting with 2 previous contractors. We we were looking for ideas and we weren't 100% sure what we wanted to do. Upon a 2nd visit a couple weeks later, in April, he even brought a drawing and we seemed to button things up. We thought that things were finally ready to move forward at the price quoted, but rather than submitting us a formal contract to sign and return with our $4,000 deposit, he sent us a vague email agreement. When we requested a more detailed contract, he sent a vague contract for "enclosing our balcony with Atrium windows". We kindly asked for the specifications to be included (# and sizes of sliding windows, # and sizes of awning windows, etc) and he stopped communicating. It's been almost 3 weeks, so clearly he doesn't operate the way he initially led us to believe. Always said we wouldn't hire a heavy radio advertiser to do work for us, but gave him a shot and thought he was our guy, but I guess not.

    Chandler Remodeling Inc
I gave Chandler Remodeling a 1 star rating. My complaint is not about the work done except for after having a roof job completed I am still picking up pieces of shingle in my front yard after a November install. My biggest issue is the salesman, follow up and back office. I signed an agreement in September for a new roof and siding to be installed. The sales guy identified himself as the VP of the company. Made all these promises and deals to leave and never want to answer my calls or questions afterwards. I agreed to the financing at a special rate. My credit was ran for approval that I got a notice right away then follow up from the company to schedule the install or answer my questions because nothing was ever stated about the gable vent in the front of the house with the siding. The sales guy said he would ride by and call me but he never did and that was only after trying to reach him for 2 weeks. Noone called to schedule my install so finally I called in October and told them a specific day I wanted this completed in November. They showed up about 10am with just the foreman who his guys would be there shortly. They pulled my roof off and threw up the new shingles by 6pm that night. It was dark and fast so I am still unsure exactly how that was finished but I can say to this day no leaks. Hopefully it stays that way. My biggest issue was the one followed up with my application after running my credit. The finance company states they sent it back for missing signature but no one reached out to me. My approval expired and it was only after their business office realized they were never paid that they followed up. My credit was hit for a 2nd time for approval. My credit score took a big impact and I was ****** at their lack of follow up. I called to speak to Bruce Chandler several times and left a message with Mike the sales guy and the receptionist again. I was told they would have him to call me back. I have a real issue with the way this company deals with their customers and their lack of concern when they impact someone's credit. There was absolutely no concern or interest when I relayed my issues and I was never given any feedback on this lack judgement. Be cautious when dealing. I will be putting in a complaint with the BBB and Angie's list.
