Business Description:
We are small animal hospital, that treats cats and dogs. We have approximately 35 employees. Dr. Bill Benson is the owner and chief of staff. He started this practice 20 years ago, and is known for his work with orthopedic surgery. He also has a large history of working with Greyhounds, English Bulldogs, and other breeds that require special attention.
Recent Review:
AThere are not enough wonderful things to say about Dr. Benson and everyone who works at Advanced Veterinary Complex. When my 17 year old cat died years ago, after being patient there for over 10 years, they called to check on me, sent hand written note, and more. Flash forward, I took my 11 year old sweet kitty to them as an emergency last weekend. Sadly, he died yesterday. The compassion, love, and quality veterinary care that was given not only to my sweet pet but to my human family as well cannot be matched elsewhere. I will never take my pets anywhere else.

AI can't express how happy I am with Vanessa. She came out of her way to meet me after work to save my terribly matted cat. She did an awesome job!! I felt so bad because he did scratch her. I am sure most groomers would have stopped right there but she did an amazing job and she will be going mobile soon!

ADr. Duane Woodburn saved my 11-year-old dog's life. He was professional, thorough, kind, and determined to find out what her mystery illness was. She needed to be hospitalized for several days, and the Vet tech who cared for her at night actually sent me photos of her via email. Everyone in the practice was wonderful. My dog is now back at home and doing well. Thank you, Greater Annapolis!

Brenner Animal Hospital is based in Laurel, Maryland, and has been providing clients and their furry companions with expert veterinary services for more than 45 years. We understand and share in your compassion for animals, for we too are pet owners. It is our goal to provide for your pets with the highest quality veterinary care available.
Recent Review:
ADr. Brenner and his staff are wonderful, caring, supportive people. We have been going there for 16 years with 7 cats and will continue to go there for as long as Dr. Brenner continues to work. He and his staff cried with us when our first cat had to be put to sleep at 17 years old. Our current clan of 6 include 4 with occassionally complex medical needs and they are seen rapidly and treated professionally and with compassion each and every time. We would also NEVER wait until one of our "children" had an open wound, sore or persistent infection before we took them in and still expect a miracle. Would you do that with your human child? If you are looking for a group that truly care about you and your pet, then Brenner Animal Hospital is the right place.

AI called on very short notice needing boarding as my normal sitter wasn't available and needed to leave town on emergency. Paradise for Pets was accommodating and friendly, and seemed genuinely appreciative of my business (and I hope I made clear how appreciative I was of their taking a new client.) Upon arrival, the dogs in the outdoor runs were clearly enjoying one another's company and in good care. My dog ended up staying 2.5 days (a day longer than I expected) and was clearly in good spirits when I arrived.

ALUCKY 3-DOG & CAT GROOMINGMy cat had a spa day which she needed badly. The groomer was patient and professional. My cat Bella adopted me a year and a half ago. She hasn’t been groomed since then. She’s a long hair domestic and with 16 months of nail and hair growth she was in desperate need of some pampering. Fortunately, since I brushed her daily, her hair wasn’t matted. After the cutting she was bathed. I don’t know if Bella had ever had a bath, but the groomer handled her expertly. I highly recommend Lucky 3 Dog &Cat Grooming.- Veroneca B.

DHUNT VALLEY ANIMAL HOSPITALI chose to come here because they were recommended as a bulldog specialist- if you are doing the same DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I took my French bulldogs here from the time they were about 6 months old until spring of 2019 when they were 1.5 and 2. In May 2019, my female was in her second heat for about 6 months and was extremely lethargic for the last month of it, they told me this was not normal but didn’t seem too concerned. We took her in knowing she had a minor eye infection so the white blood cell test they did came back (obviously) positive for infection and they therefore weren’t able to identify and additional infection. Three days later, we took her in because she could not move and was in pain, to find out her uterus was infected. They did emergency surgery to remove it and found it was ruptured and she was septic throughout her entire body and multiple other organs, so we had to pick her up while she was partially conscious, with a tube & bag still attached to her stomach, and drive her 20 minutes to the Pet ER in Towson (highly recommended service there). She stayed in the Er fighting for life for 7 days, while flushing the infection from her body and constantly on blood pressure medicine to help maintain her heartbeat. If she wasn’t so young she probably wouldn’t have made it, it was touch and go for the first 4 days or so. I don’t blame Hunt Valley entirely, I understand she had an eye infection so they couldn’t have known based on that alone but her extreme lethargy and 6 month heat cycle was abnormal, as they noted, and they should have done a more thorough examination. This ended up costing us about $11,000. Around $2,000 for the initial emergency surgery at Hunt Valley, and the rest during her ER stay. ALSO, the vets at Hunt Valley never once recommended a dental cleaning or healthy dental practices for our French bulldogs, which are apparently notorious for their bad dental health. Our current vet has told me dogs’ teeth should be at least briefly examined each time they visit the vet. Although I acknowledge it has been one year since we were a patient at Hunt Valley, my dog is still only 2.5 years old and I’ve been brushing her teeth often for a few months. Today she is having ELEVEN teeth extracted due to bacteria build up. Why did Hunt Valley never check or notify me that her teeth needed to be cleaned even as a puppy? According to most online resources I’ve found, a dog shouldn’t have such sever build-up problems with their teeth at such a young age, but if her teeth are this bad now, they were definitely in need of a cleaning last year while we were with Hunt Valley.- Maddison M.

APampered Paws SalonI was extremely pleased how my dog was groomed. The staff was very friendly and they treated my dog with lots of t.l.c. They created a very inviting atmosphere for my dog, who tends to get nervous easily. The staff was very knowledgeable and informative. My dog has been groomed other places in the past. However, it became very apparent to me that those "other" places did not know what they were doing when it came to proper grooming especially, after seeing the work that Pampered Paws did today. I give the ladies at Pampered Paws 5 stars.... I will definitely be going back to them in the future and would absolutely recommend them.- megan b.

APampered Paws SalonIt is located in a cute little house, and inside is a very homelike place. Very warm and inviting for me and my dog. I have a Maltese and he was pretty matted. Donna gave me the best and worst scenario with regards to his mats. She got right on the floor to greet my dog, and demonstrated to me how well she connects with animals. When I came to pick him up, he looked great , and his coat was very soft. I definitely plan to bring him back- lisa c.

APampered Paws SalonThey are very nice. The dog looks good after they do him. They are pretty easy to get an appointment. She loves dogs there. I feel comfortable to leave the dog and I feel they groom him well. However, the only thing with them is that I have to leave the dog there all day long and I don’t really love that.- ANITA P.
