          • <Provider name locked. >My experience with this practioner was not ideal.  Although I could write a saga about our interaction, here are the main points:

During the review of my medical history, Nurse Provider name locked. interrupted me so often I became frustrated.  She did not ask the reason for my visit,  or if I had anything to contribute in addition to information gleaned from the form.  When I offered two things I would like checked, she was "rather dismissive", as the previous reviewer mentioned, and indicated she would check everything.  During the examination, she addressed one of the issues, but never commented on the other - I believe she may have forgotten my concern.  Provider name locked. > <Provider name locked. >Provider name locked. > <Provider name locked. >Her Provider name locked. seemed abrupt and lecturing.  While she did provide a good deal of information regarding issues that Provider name locked. -menopausal women face, I have relatively few of these symptoms.  Those that I did experience are not serious enough - to me! -  to warrant medical treatment at this time.  When discussing them, Nurse Provider name locked. stated "Why should you have to suffer?"  I tried to respond that I was not suffering, but I was interrupted again. I stopped counting the interruptions after 10, so I'm not sure how many this made... but it was my breaking point.   I responded with "Oh my GOD" and turned to look at the wall.  Nurse Provider name locked. never inquired as to why I had reacted, nor did she seem to notice that I subsequently stopped attempting to have a 2 way conversation with her. Provider name locked. > <Provider name locked. >Provider name locked. > <Provider name locked. >Overall, I felt that Nurse Provider name locked. demonstrated a lack of interest in me as an individual patient.  She appeared to view me as a catagory - "Provider name locked. -menopausal" - and delivered an obviously well-practed sililoquy on that topic, using a condescending and lecturing Provider name locked. .  My attempts to guide the conversation to the issues that concerence ME seemed an interference to the default agenda she wanted to provide.  She did not take the time to learn what brought me to the office (was I seeking a remedy for symptoms, or was I just here for an annual?) and presumed that I desired a course of treatment that I had no interest in.Provider name locked. > <Provider name locked.
While I may recommend the JHU Women's Center, I would not recommend Nurse Provider name locked. .  In fact, I believe the office manager should be made aware of her bedside manner so they can counsel her on how to improve her communication styleProvider name locked. >

  • I had never been to Mercy's Women's Health practice and was absolutely amazed with how modern the office setting was.  The administrative staff were kind/professional and the waiting room was pleasant.  A physician's assistant takes you back and takes your weight, bp, etc.  Dr. O'Provider name locked. then came into the exam room and we sat face to face at a table and she filled out my history and physical.  She then left the room while I undressed for the physical exam.  After the exam and I was dressed, she came back and chatted.

This practice really takes their time with each patient.  Dr. O'Provider name locked. 's bedside manner was impeccable.  I have now established my new Gyn physician!

  • It went well, they took my weight and vitals, then did a papsmear and a sonogram. Before I left they did bloodwork and gave me a bag full of prenatal vitamin samples, coupons, and magazines. I will have the rest of my appointments with them and one of the 4 doctors will be the one who delivers my baby. They also referred me to a specialist to talk about medications I am on and have a closer look throughout my pregnancy.
