    Good salesmen, don���t deliver. Installed a 5-unit minisplit AC. A month after I paid for what I assumed was a functional AC, I have a $15, 000 worth of electric fire hazard equipment I can't use. On the Monday after ���completing��� the job and getting paid, Ms Carmen, the office manager/dispatcher, informed me that they were ���in the process of scheduling an inspection for the completed electrical work done during the installation. Once that is taken care of and we get the green light that it is all approved, we will then schedule the inspection for your permit.��� All news to me. I assumed that I had a functional AC, I could use. During the next week, Ms Carmen had difficulty getting in touch with and scheduling the inspection with their electric subcontractor. One day it was ���the subcontractor is at your house, are you by any chance at home so they can inspect.��� No, I wasn���t at home. I happen to be at work during regular business hours. On another day, it was the electric subcontractor calling "I am at your house. Are you home by any chance?" No, I wasn't. I was finally able to deal directly with the electric subcontractor who eventually came and inspected the work. Next, I waited to hear from Elmar for final inspection. A week went by without me hearing from them. When I called, Ms Carmen informed me, that there was a problem with the electric installation, they had to come and fix it. At no point was I told that I should not use the units because they were improperly connected. An appointment was made for 2 weeks later. I confirmed the appointment the week before and yes, it was on their schedule. The appointment time came and went. When I called, Ms Carmen informed me that a technician had called out. Well, things happen. He called out in the morning. The appointment was in the middle of the day, and I, yet taking more time off, was waiting for a technician who was not going to come. When I asked to speak to the registered owner of the company, he didn���t know anything about what was going on. I am sure this will get resolved eventually, it is a registered and regulated business after all. But unless you have plenty of free time on your hands and nerves of steel to deal with a disorganized business, find someone else for your AC needs.

    DMV Pro did a fantastic job cleaning my basement after some construction work. Additionally, they thoroughly cleaned my HVAC system and vents. They were very friendly and respectful of our house and time. Would definitely use them again for future work.

    Walt did a fabulous job installing our new Hybrid furnace system. Many options to consider so my husband & I took a while to find the one that worked best for us. Walt did not sway us one way or another. He did not rush us to make a decision. He was fully supportive! Glad we made the right decision based on our needs.

    I had several mini-splits installed in my home by another HVAC service. At the time of installation and subsequent diagnostic requests, it became clear to me that I needed to use a larger company with a pool of technicians who are seasoned in the maintenance of mini-split units. Come to find out, most companies will only service units that were installed by them. I was referred to Blue Dot from another HVAC service and I was very pleased with the initial service I received. The technician came out the next day and was very professional. Unfortunately, my satisfaction soon dwindled. I needed parts replaced and it took several calls to customer service to find out if the parts were under warranty and were ordered. The customer service people always said they would call me back and a few actually did. There were times when I thought I was being lied to. Another technician came out and spent most of his time talking to a service manager. He had no idea why he was even there. Come to find out, the replacement of a condensation pump is a 2-person job. That technician just left. A service manager came out with a mini-split specialist and they didn���t realize the installed mini-splits were not manufactured by Mitsubishi. Blue Dot has the parts in their possession so I felt I needed to work with them. After approximately a month, numerous calls to customer service and 3 visits from technicians, I am still left with a unit that is in need of repair.

    This review has been a long time coming and some may deem it too far gone, but I feel led to post it wherever possible so the maximum amount of individuals can see this review and be warned. I am still dealing with the fall out of this contractor's work. I DO NOT AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND VALI HASAN, HIS WIFE, LISA, OR THEIR "CREW" TO ANYONE. My husband and I were referred to Capital Improvement Contractors through a business associate and it remains, to date, the worst decision of our life. We did a 203k renovation that consisted of knocking walls out of the first level to create an open concept, 2 bathrooms and finishing the basement. We were told that this reno would take 2-3 months to complete (*note: it took nearly 6mths.) So my husband and I (while pregnant) took our two small children and moved out of the property the first week of June. We had to continue to pay our mortgage while simultaneously paying rent in our apartment so time was definitely of the essence for us. No one from CIC stepped foot in to our home for the first 3 weeks and then when they did, it took another 4.5wks to demo. Vali's team is a random assortment of individuals whom he has appeared to collect, none of whom are actually certified or licensed for the task in which they are assigned. The "electrician" severely overloaded and incorrectly labeled our box. There are several GFIs that used to work before the reno and now do not as well as the doorbell now being in operable. Vali's team also caused a small fire to break out at the property while rewiring the kitchen. In addition, the quality of work of CIC leaves a lot to be desired. It seems Vali's subcontractors, sub contract the work and you truly never know who will be working in your home. On more than one occasion we came to check in on the progress only to find beer bottles lying around our property, a worker smoking inside our home, a bathroom was being demolished though that part of the home was not in the scope of work, our custom built in bookshelves were carelessly broken and several important, sentimental items missing. Both Vali and Lisa seemed to nickel and dime clients to make a bigger buck. I understand being paid for their work, but having us as clients go to the store to select our flooring, allowing us to see the total bill for materials plus installation and then charging us $5k on top of that seems exorbitant. In another instance, Lisa and I spoke about cabinetry and when I came to the property the day before install, I noticed they were incorrect. CIC tried to convince me I was mistaken even though the pictures SHE sent me said otherwise. CIC claims they have been in the painting business for 30+ years, but even that was lack luster and spotty. They clearly thinned out the paint to stretch it and it definitely shows. My renovation was never 100% completed with CIC because we told them to leave our property nearly 6mths after it began. My husband and I had to bring another contractor in to finish the job in addition to purchasing the bathroom vanities and kitchen and bathroom granite counter tops out of our own pockets. If you read this far, I am so sorry for taking up this much of your time, but if you can believe it, these are only some of the issues we had with this company and their ragtag crew of workers. I do have photos and supporting information if any one would like to see them. If I could give negative stars I would.

    Enjoyed my interaction with this company from scheduling through the performed service. Scott checked my heat pump system to ensure it was functioning properly. His assessment was straight-forward and honest. For example, he noted that there were improvements that could be made to my system (based on how it had been installed by another company) but he was upfront in sharing that making those changes would not improve the overall performance, and therefore, may not be a worthwhile use of my money. He shared a couple of ideas he had to help me address the trouble I am having with keeping my basement warm. He also offered to assist with removal or replacement of a non-functioning humidifier unit I have, but did not pressure me to schedule additional services. I was very happy with HVAC Direct Heating and Cooling and would hire again in the future!

    UPDATE: it just takes 1 person to sour the pot. I do not recommend Beltway for large jobs. I found an issue after job was done and, inexplicably, someone who could not fix the issue was sent out. Even worse, they returned the next day and STILL didn't do what they were supposed to do, even after agreeing with me via text about what needed to be done. I am so angry and dissappointed. However, what I stated below is still true. ORIGINAL: The install went smoothly, the team was professional and did a fantastic job of keeping my house clean - which is incredibly hard when working with plaster. The estimate to complete the job was 3 days and it was done in 3 days.

    We had a first-rate experience working with Elmar Services. They specialize in installing tankless boilers and water heaters. Every step of the way, they were responsive. Their office manager responded to emails quickly, sent text messages, with photos of their employees, to track the status of the appointments. They came out, to follow up on some minor adjustments, after installation.
