    Wireworx Electric Inc
I requested a service through Angie's List with several companies for an estimate on repairing a flickering front porch light. Chris reached out to me within an hour to schedule an appointment for the next day. His workers, Mark and Dylan, arrived exactly when they said they would and the job was done within an hour. I really appreciate their responsiveness and punctuality. I will be referring to my friends and family in the future. I am very happy with the services they provided. Paid $155 for them to take off the porch light and fix the wiring that had come lose over the years. They even adjusted the light's settings to my specifications as I did not want it set to motion detection.

    Solenergi
My wife and I are big on conserving energy and decided to have solar installed on our new home. We decided to work with Solenergi, and it was a great decision. They explained the entire process to us and answered any of the questions we had. The work was done as scheduled and we really appreciated that. Thanks Solenergi! We love our new system.

Mr. Handyman of Northern Baltimore County
The pantry in the kitchen used to be an exit out of the back of the house. It was half-assed renovated. My beloved Rich, who has done a number of projects for me, came in. Tore out the ceiling finding that above the ceiling was somewhat open to the elements - skeletal remains of birds, mice, lots of leaves all hanging over our pantry food. Rich re-vented the closet, cleaned out the toxic stuff, replaced the ceiling and then built out a new pantry with enough shelf space for everything I needed. Rich always talks to you first to make sure he understands what you want and he offers great suggestions for the best way to do things. During the project he becomes one with it and in this case spent a lot of time talking to the closet as he did the work. It is perfect.. And exactly what I wanted and needed. Office staff is also boffo in scheduling and is very responsive. Please note that Mr. Handyman is a franchaise. This review is for Mr. Handyman of Northern Baltimore County..

    Clinton Electric Co Inc
Russell was prompt, very polite and helpful. He explained everything and pointed out where my old rowhouse differs from newer codes. (Grandfathered until I want to sell.) There was an upsell on an annual plan, but it will save some 15% on some planned upgrades, so I went with it. Dawn, office support, also was friendly and pleasant to work with. She gave me a follow-up call next morning after my multi-company query through Angie's. My inquiry detailed list of three small repairs did not get other takers, so no real cost comparison, but I feel the price was fair-- $500 for about 2 hours, including the plan and dispatch fee.

    Harford Appliance Repair Service
Unfortunately Landers was not the company which responded to my request. Another company, Harford Appliance Repair Services, Inc. called to respond to my request for quotes. I was in a hurry when answering the phone and could not check my request for bids. Later I realized that this company was not one of the ones recommended by Angie's List. The company which responded was able to replace the igniter but at over twice the cost of the same repair I had done by a previous provider who was a legitimate Angie's List company. I do not know how this company got my information from my Angie's list inquiry but I most definitely would NOT hire them again. Their receipt has no address or e-mail address. their phone is 410-803-0033.

    Kitchen Saver
Andrew Cooper did excellent work. I highly recommend him. Kitchen Saver ordered a set of wrong-sized doors for the buffet, and we have to wait 2 weeks to have the correct doors to be installed. The Kitchen Saver's plumber came later than expected. I asked for an early appointment because of the condo's rules (all work must be done before 4:00 pm).

    capital Improvement Contractors
This review has been a long time coming and some may deem it too far gone, but I feel led to post it wherever possible so the maximum amount of individuals can see this review and be warned. I am still dealing with the fall out of this contractor's work. I DO NOT AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND VALI HASAN, HIS WIFE, LISA, OR THEIR "CREW" TO ANYONE. My husband and I were referred to Capital Improvement Contractors through a business associate and it remains, to date, the worst decision of our life. We did a 203k renovation that consisted of knocking walls out of the first level to create an open concept, 2 bathrooms and finishing the basement. We were told that this reno would take 2-3 months to complete (*note: it took nearly 6mths.) So my husband and I (while pregnant) took our two small children and moved out of the property the first week of June. We had to continue to pay our mortgage while simultaneously paying rent in our apartment so time was definitely of the essence for us. No one from CIC stepped foot in to our home for the first 3 weeks and then when they did, it took another 4.5wks to demo. Vali's team is a random assortment of individuals whom he has appeared to collect, none of whom are actually certified or licensed for the task in which they are assigned. The "electrician" severely overloaded and incorrectly labeled our box. There are several GFIs that used to work before the reno and now do not as well as the doorbell now being in operable. Vali's team also caused a small fire to break out at the property while rewiring the kitchen. In addition, the quality of work of CIC leaves a lot to be desired. It seems Vali's subcontractors, sub contract the work and you truly never know who will be working in your home. On more than one occasion we came to check in on the progress only to find beer bottles lying around our property, a worker smoking inside our home, a bathroom was being demolished though that part of the home was not in the scope of work, our custom built in bookshelves were carelessly broken and several important, sentimental items missing. Both Vali and Lisa seemed to nickel and dime clients to make a bigger buck. I understand being paid for their work, but having us as clients go to the store to select our flooring, allowing us to see the total bill for materials plus installation and then charging us $5k on top of that seems exorbitant. In another instance, Lisa and I spoke about cabinetry and when I came to the property the day before install, I noticed they were incorrect. CIC tried to convince me I was mistaken even though the pictures SHE sent me said otherwise. CIC claims they have been in the painting business for 30+ years, but even that was lack luster and spotty. They clearly thinned out the paint to stretch it and it definitely shows. My renovation was never 100% completed with CIC because we told them to leave our property nearly 6mths after it began. My husband and I had to bring another contractor in to finish the job in addition to purchasing the bathroom vanities and kitchen and bathroom granite counter tops out of our own pockets. If you read this far, I am so sorry for taking up this much of your time, but if you can believe it, these are only some of the issues we had with this company and their ragtag crew of workers. I do have photos and supporting information if any one would like to see them. If I could give negative stars I would.

    L & R Electricians
The company was here for 1.5 hours and since there were two electricians on-site they then said it would be $150 per half hour which was not mentioned when we agreed on the work. I ended up being billed $511 but was under the impression it was going to be half of that. The four jobs were to check that the new washer/dryer was grounded, to fix the wiring to my bathroom outlet which was done incorrectly initially, to troubleshoot an electrical outlet, and to fix a light switch for an outdoor light. They couldn't get everything fixed on-time as they had another job they needed to get to. The only thing they fixed was correcting the outlet in my bathroom. If I want them back they said it would be another $1000.
