"Working with and was a pleasure. My wife and I contracted with them to install a roof deck on our rowhome in Canton," Baltimore. She and I both work in the design/build industry, so our project was not going to be your run-of-the-mill deck. We knew exactly what we wanted from the start, and we know just enough about construction to be dangerous, and that means we can be a major pain-in-the-butt for any contractor. was super friendly and open to working with our particular and unique design ideas throughout the whole process. He is a genuinely warm individual and his attitude and vast experience in his trade instilled confidence in us from the get-go. We interviewed and received quotes from 4 or 5 contractors before signing on with and RCDA, and almost all of those other quotes came in significantly higher than ’s bid. Not to mention, was able to start and finish our project very quickly - within a few months of our initial quote. He manages different crews on different projects simultaneously so you’re paying for his detail work, oversight and management of the project, but not for his expertise onsite all-day-every-day when the bulk of that time would be unnecessary. Some contractors we spoke to in the past were opposed to the idea of tailoring the design to our wishes. We felt like they wanted to build their deck on our house, not our deck on our house. and RCDA not once balked at the choosy specifics of our material choices, our particular layout and designs, or the custom-built details of our project. He instead was particularly excited to work with us to build a unique end product. Also, at no time did we feel like he was trying to pull a fast one on us, which I understand is a big fear for most homeowners. It was almost a bonus that he and the crew were very courteous and exceptionally clean during the interior work of our house. Each day they worked we had one foreman and about two laborers at the house. seemed to stop in once every few days or so to address detail issues, to make sure things were going as planned, and to fill the foreman in on the next steps in the project. On occasion, we would come home from work to find that the crew had progressed with construction in a way that was contrary to our original discussions. We would then shoot a text about the issue (in many cases he already knew), and he would be there early the next day to straighten things out. As I stated before, my wife and I had very strong opinions on the project and wanted to see our design carried out to the fullest extent. I imagine we were more involved than the typical homeowner would have been. It was stressful for my wife and I in the few instances when the crew had progressed in error; however, was always a phone call away and would set the matter straight, even if it meant additional material and labor costs on his end. We have lived with the deck for about a month now and are still happy with the results. We’ve found a few issues and he has come back to take care of them. There are a few details we’ll take care of on our own, since we know he’s gone above and beyond in every other respect. In the end, everything worked out great and we are happy with the overall experience. If you are picky, know that is very available and seems happy to please. He is very responsive via call or text, but occasionally needs reminders of particular details (understandable for someone managing multiple projects). If you’re planning on a standard deck and ’t want to be heavily involved, I believe and RCDA would provide a quality and safe product. If we had to do it again, we would choose and .

  • I will start with the bottomline -- "Spectacular". We had no clue that the deck would look this good. We spoke with Provider name locked. who came out to our home promptly. Very professionally and courteously spoke to us, and understood what we wanted. He then proceeded to walk out back with us, described in detail what he could do and made some recommendations. Then he surprised us by drawing out a rough sketch of the deck and offering us a firm estimate Right On The Spot. He was so confident about the product he was offering and the quality of workmanship that he gave us time to think about it if we wanted...no pressure at all. Now this was the fourth estimate that we got in the space of a month, and we were already well versed in the technical details of a Fiberon deck and we knew what Provider name locked. was offering us, was more than fair. Still we decided to take a day to think about it, and then decided that since Provider name locked. could give us the deck in time to enjoy some of summer, we would go with them.
Note: All the other deck estimates we had requested, took at least 10 days to come in, and even with that, there were qualifiers...if the soil was an issue, the cost would increase, our gas meter line needed to be removed...etc. Provider name locked. simply said -- "No issue" we will work around these...they also assured us that if there was an issue that they found later, the estimate would not change!
Being that this was a large deck, and that they had to cut through an asphalt driveway that ran around our home, we thought that this would take a few weeks. Well we reckoned without knowing how efficient Provider name locked. and his crew (totally 3) were. The deck was essentially completed within 5 days -- this is with delays due to the torrential downpours that resulted in them having to work shorter hours on two days. I truly have never seen people work so hard (physically), and so efficiently. Everything was so neat, they were courteous and polite (and frankly they did not even need to ask us any questions). They came in, made quick progress but were still very detail oriented. They cleaned up the workplace every day when they were done and honestly worked like machines, taking just about an hour for a lunch break.
When they were done, we did a walk around with Provider name locked. and everything was so well done. We got a gorgeous deck and also now have a lovely place below the deck. Provider name locked. called today to see how things went, and will be dropping by for another walk through just to ensure that we are totally happy.
My wife was the one who found Provider name locked. on Angies list and she decided to follow up and at least get a quote from them before we went with someone else (who would put us on their list and get this done a few months from now). I am so glad that she did. We were (and are) impressed with the fact that Provider name locked. , Provider name locked. and his crew are just regular folk, no nonsense and no unnecessary flair. They are honest people who tell you exactly what they can do, and then deliver more than you would expect.
We highly recommend Provider name locked. if you are planning to get a deck done - in our opinion, you cannot go wrong. Thanks Provider name locked. , Provider name locked. (and crew), and Angies list!
