I'm not saying anything new when I mention that Comcasts prices continue
to rise while their service seems to worsen. A few years ago they sent
us a new modem, as the one we had was so old its technology was
outdated. Immediately, our house phone (land line) stopped working.
Provider name locked. insisted that our line was working. I changed the batteries in
the phone, installed a line filter, & eventually even bought a new phone, all to no avail. When I called & tried to discontinue the phone service, I was advised they couldn't do that. The only thing that solved the problem was that we moved.

Cables for months have been rising up above the ground and were being cut by lawn mowing. I called District manager Provider name locked. and he took charge. He had someone out there immediate. They fixed the problem once and for all and I am extremely happy with the promptness and urgency taken with my complaint. I am impressed with the company's response to my dismay.- Richard Y.
Tech who repaired cable line was punctual and proficient. However, after cable was set up, several charges (for things I had been assured I would not be charged for) showed up on subsequent bills. When I called to address these charges ($8 for modem rental when I had purchased my own, $8 for DVR box rental which I had been assured there was no charge for, and $30 for a miscellaneous service charge), they refunded the monthly fee for the modem since I had purchased my own but would not refund other charges. When I called to set up service originally and they offered me upgrade to DVR, I specifically asked several times if there were any fees beyond the $79/month quoted price and they said no--but turns out that was a lie.
