  • • Extremely professional, modern shop.  I have a 2001 Toyota Highlander with many issues. Courtesy inspection was extremely thorough.  The inspection revealed the struts and brake issues that I knew about before coming in, so I feel the evaluation of what was needed was honest.
I asked that they take their time, but they still had my vehicle ready in a short timeframe.  The car now drives smoothly.  The cost of the synthetic oil change was less than I've paid at other shops, and in line with what is normal for this area.
    • Recommendations for routine services was in line with the vehicle's service history.
    • Pricing was not inexpensive, but fair, as compared to other shops in the area.  I believe that this shop took a great deal of time to insure that i was satisfied. They appear to care deeply about service and their good reputation.
    • Road tested after completion.
    • Coupons for other services was received.

  • I heard great things about this place, so when my car was in an accident I took a Provider name locked. taking it there. BIG MISTAKE.  When I made the appointment I advised the estimator that there is a problem with the tire and/or front end. She advised me no problem if there is an amendment to my insurance companies estimate they will contact them. I advised if it is not covered, I will pay to have the repairs. My husband dropped off the car and had the same conversation.” If there is an amendment to my insurance companies estimate they will contact them. I advised if it is not covered, I will pay to have the repairs and we would be advised of such. When we picked up the car, they advised us they on fixed what was on the estimate. 2 conversations and they did not even investigate the problem.  They advised me to take it to my mechanic, I do not have one, and I was hoping to build a relationship with your company.  Then a basic Sorry.  I took my car to another mechanic who told me the strut was broken, the insurance company is fixing it. So my 3 cars and my families will never be customers of this establishment.  The 3 people that recommended Royal, were appalled.

  • Provider name locked. told me my chimney tiles had shifted, the crown is cracked, that there were cracked tiles, and specifically an unsafe gap between the "4th and 5th rows" of tile. They wrote an estimate of $4775 for repairs.
2nd and 3rd opinions from a certified chimney company, plus a carpenter, revealed that not only is my chimney and crown in fine shape with no such cracks or shifts, a 5th row of tiles does not even exist!
ER further said I'd already had a chimney fire (not true) and used fear tactics saying over and over that my chimney was totally unsafe to use, and if I used it I would be in Provider name locked. of a house fire.
When I told ER that I would get a 2nd opinion, they tried to talk me out of it, saying they "had no reason to lie to me." They then took pictures, which they showed me - but I could not see anything that showed damage in the photos, although I do not know much about chimneys -the photos were mostly black and non-descript and seemed to not prove nor show anything.
I did not tell the 2nd chimney company I hired to inspect anything about what ER claimed,  until AFTER they inspected - I just hired them to do an inspection, saying nothing.  This 2nd company told me my chimney is in excellent working order, however it needs a sweep!
So, not only did ER lie about my chimney being damaged and unsafe to use and needing $4775 in repairs, they did not even do a proper sweeping, which is what I paid them $135 to do. They never brought brushes inside to sweep my smoke box.  The 2 workers who came inside, told me the 3rd man on the roof, who was supposedly sweeping, was in training. But he was up there alone and I never saw any brushes anywhere, nor is there any evidence the chimney was actually swept from above either.
ER's good BBB rating of "A+" means less than nothing - so buyers beware of BBB ratings!!  Even after submitting documents and pictures from the 2nd inspecting chimney company to BBB, which included the information that the supposed damage to the 5th row tile couldn't exist, because there are only 4 rows of tiles, BBB closed the case! I also submitted the written report from the 2nd company to BBB saying that my chimney is in perfect working order, except that it needs a thorough sweeping.
Since I had just days earlier paid ER to sweep and did not do so, I requested my $135 back.  ER has refused to refund my $135 and despite all the evidence I submitted that my chimney still needs to be swept and that it is actually in fine working order, BBB closed the case, and ER maintains its very misleading rating. So beware and know: BBB's rating system means less than nothing.
I wish I had all the hours back that I spent getting further assessments and inspections, trying to get my refund, and making reports about what happened to me with Provider name locked. and Hearth to BBB! That said, I am spending this time to write a review to warn other people so they do not get ripped off!
