    Burl's Plumbing
When appliances break down, it always happens on a Sunday. This is what happened when I discovered our water heater had been leaking into our garage and through an adjoining wall to the front porch of our house. I called Burl's Plumbing, spoke to Burl himself, and he sent Charles out to our house two hours later to evaluate the problem. Early the next morning, Charles returned with Dan (Burl's son) and soon we had our water heater installed and ready to go. Charles and Dan were experts and efficient in their work--and extremely nice to work with, too, not to mention the very fair quote we were given for the work we needed to have done. I highly recommend Burl's Plumbing!

Larry came out on a Friday (same day that I called) because one of my hot water heaters would not stay lit. I bought the house new over 12 years ago which I knew was the life expectancy of most of the hot water heaters on the market today. Larry talked me out of a tankless (which is what I was thinking of getting) because the cost to convert my gas lines would have taken away any efficiency savings that I would have achieved. He instead led me to a much less expensive alternative that replaced both of my aged hot water heaters with a 10-year warranty on both from Excalibur. Even with that warranty, Excalibur is still cheaper than many of the others operating out in my area (Northwest Austin). Larry and Noe showed up that next Monday 15 minutes early for the appointment and made quick work of ripping out the old and installing the new. They were real pros and took the time to explain things along the way. I will be happy with this for at least another 12-15 years! And if I sell within 10 years my warranty with Excalibur is transferrable to the new home owner! Great experience all around and will definitely call Excalibur for all of my plumbing needs in the future,

took a week - Memorial Day weekend not their fault, but nevetheless, a week!? More disturbing - more interested in having me spend 6x (SIX TIMES) more than a repair on a new water heater than on repairing the one I ahve.

Eddie was amazing. I called him ahead of time to get some advice on an issue. I couldn't resolve it so he came out and after a couple questions realized a simple goof I made while installing new shower hardware that had nothing to do with the water heater. No repairs needed. Him and his crew were very helpful for advice and I was extremely surprised and happy that he didn't charge me for the visit. Will definitely call them later if I end up with a "real" issue.

Had Excalibur out to replace a 24 old water heater. They were very quick to come out with a quote and came back the lowest, despite better warranty options than other competitors. Arrived on time to do the work and did a great job. Would recommend.

Long story short, I had been smelling very intermittent natural gas and 'my' plumber was putting me off during the holidays because of lack of man power. Eventually they said they could not do it and gave me two recommendations.....lets just say I was less than pleased with some of the mansplaining I received from both companies. Ultimately the gas was turned off because there were multiple substantial leaks. A few calls around lead me to Excalibur Plumbing. Gerald and his helper were efficient and Bob was great trying to help get the city inspector there in a timely matter (but that is another story!). All in all, Excalibur as a company were helpful and I'll use them again. Cost below includes replacing a 12 yo hot water heater.

My very old (installed in 1996!!!!) finally died. Mercifully, I noticed that the pan underneath had more than 1.5 inches of water in it. Overflowing the pan would have meant a water damage disaster. Excalibur was one of the few plumbers to answer the phone early on a Monday morning and the ONLY one of the four I called who would come that day. By 10AM they arrived in a cold rain - before the pan overflowed. They worked steadily draining the 22 year old tank, getting it out of the house, and installing the new one. They didn't take a lunch break and took great care to keep my floors clean. I rated the price a "B" because I wasn't able to shop around. It could have been a great price for all I know. Friends had warned me to be prepared for sticker shock since my last buying experience was 22 years ago. A significant part of the price was buying the maximum warranty of 10 years.

I've worked with John to build my projects for 4 years, and during that time I haven't hired any other residential general contractors. He's worked with the same great subcontractors for many years, and has been in the business so long that he knows how to get anything completed. It's important to my business when I recommend a contractor to a client that they perform, meet their deadlines, are budget conscious, trustworthy, reliable and able to communicate effectively with everyone as that recommendation is a reflection on my business also. Over the past decade he's better than every other residential contractor I've worked with so I recommend him to anyone wanting to remodel, add on or build new.

They are always on time, knowledgeable, and do a thorough job. Once, when the motherboard of one of our tankless water heaters died, their technician spent an hour on the phone with the manufacturer figuring out what was wrong in the way both units were set up. They saved the second motherboard before it failed by setting both up properly! Now I use Excalibur to service our two houses that we rent out. They recently installed a garbage disposal in one.
