    Meeks Contracting
I reached out to Stacy Meeks of Meeks Contracting. He responded immediately and offered to come right out. Not only did did he repair the welds but came prepared to touch up the paint and did some metal cutting too. It was a great customer experience and we would use him again anytime.

    The Perez Brothers Welding
They came out and gave us a quote to get the work done and then showed up on time and completed the job. The fence looked great when they were done and the gate functioned perfectly. I would not hesitate to call them again if I were to ever need welding done again.

    Austin We Fix It
Austin We Fix It is without a doubt the most dishonest, fraudulent and unprofessional company I have ever worked with. The company "Austin We Fix It" is basically Samuel (Sam) Tuttle and anyone else in his family he can get to help him or sub-par contractors. The work I hired Samuel Tuttle to do started in January of 2016. The work is still not finished and he will not come back. I had to threaten to sue him to get him to come back to do more work. I paid Sam for materials, but he spent the money on his truck payment (he said) and then disappeared for THREE months. He said he couldn't come back because he didn't have enough money to pick up the materials, which was only $660 - which I had already paid for with the advance I gave him. I ended up having to pay for the materials directly with the company so that Sam could finish the work. The quality of the work he and his crew deliver is deplorable. Happy to share pictures with anyone interested in seeing the "quality" of his work. The work I hired Sam Tuttle to do consisted of: * Interior painting - Walls, ceiling, trim * New porcelain tile floors * New crown * Cabinet stain/touch-up * Roof-top metal caps * New baseboards * Door trim & seals * Staining an outside deck Endless promises. "I can do anything", yet delivers very few and the ones that are delivered are so poorly done it's not worth the aggravation and frustration in the end. Austin We Fix It is basically a used car salesman company.... over promises, under delivers and always wants more money. More money up front yet can't seem to buy the necessary supplies and materials for the job, which causes projects to drag on for months and months. It's a shell game of getting money from new customers to get materials to finish or half finish a job started 3 months ago because you spent the client's money on anything but the materials to do their job. I would not recommend Samuel Tuttle or his company Austin We Fix IT to anyone for anything! I heard the same story month after month - "I'm out of money, I have so much other work to do, I need more money from you, I can't make my truck payment, I'm over-drawn in my checking account, can I get another advance" All things I have heard from Sam since February / March of 2016. BEWARE of using Sam Tuttle or Austin We Fix It for anything. I promise you... what he "says" is not what you get. Photos will be uploaded soon.

    Metalink
I was looking for a certain metal post to build a fence. They had the product and they cut them to size for me. Metalink also makes gates! I had some metal gates custom designed and they worked perfect.

    Metalink
After Metalink restored the bench it looked like new, and it still looks like new almost 4 years later. I chose metallic bronze for the powder coating color and it looks fantastic. The whole process was done in a timely manner and I am completely satisfied with the job that was done.

    Dennis Steel Inc
I could not be more pleased with the experience working with the folks at Dennis Steel. From start to finish, they were professional, courteous, prompt to respond, and a pleasure to work with. They demonstrated excellent attention to detail, confirming the specs for the beam prior to fabrication, in order to avoid any costly mistakes. A senior member of the company even made a personal visit to the site to examine a challenging installation scenario (very steep driveway and limited access to the garage) and confirm they'd be able to deliver and install the beam.
The beam was fabricated EXACTLY to specs, with a much appreciated minor improvement to the design recommended by the folks at Dennis steel to further strengthen the attachment point from the beam to the wooden supporting columns. It was delivered primed in industrial gray primer, and showed excellent fabrication/weld quality. I'd even go as far as to call the beam "garage jewelry", it looks so impressive in its final location.
The Dennis delivery/installation crew was courteous, professional and expedient. They showed up on time, with a truck/crane that lowered the almost 1000 lb beam (and installation lifts/jacks) down the steep driveway without having to try to get the truck down the driveway. Raising of the beam into position in the garage went without incident, with the Dennis crew taking extra time and attention to detail, repositioning their lifts and jacks during the process to make sure the beam went into position perfectly level and in the exact desired location.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the experience working with Dennis steel, and would recommend them without reservation. I was initially concerned that this job, being a residential installation and therefore lower revenue than their commercial work, would not get much attention, but I was pleasantly surprised that I was treated just as well as I would expect any of their customers to be treated.
Well done, Dennis Steel, and THANK YOU!

    Patrick's Metal Works Welding
I contact Patrick to have a pool deck curved metal railing installed in my NW Austin TX house. He was responsive and had the fastest turnaround of any of the quote of less than 1 week.

Patrick Moore came out for an initial estimate and then a second time to get a 50% deposit. The deposit was$985 check which he cashed the same day.

Then the excuses started, family problems, welding machine needs part (though he couldn't give me any more details even when pressed), rain (this was the only legitimate excuse), others jobs have priority.

After 2 months I got lucky and he took my call on a Tuesday, I asked him when he could do the job. He said Wed or Thur. I said "Great I'll see you Wednesday".  He said, "No, it would be Thursday"  Then he never showed.  I called him Thursday morning before 9, no answer, at noon, no answer, and between 4-5 and no answer.  Each time leaving a message.

I'm am now in the process of suing him in small claims court.

There is no reason to ever give this guy a chance.

    CRIPPEN SHEET METAL INC
These are some of the rudest jerks in Austin.  They gave us a completion date for our project which was two weeks hence.  We waited the two weeks, and called to see about how it was progressing, and, with a very hostile tone, were told, "Do you think you are the only customer we have?"  Avoid at all costs.

    CRIPPEN SHEET METAL INC
Fantastic; they listened to our request and completed a piece exactly as discussed. They cut the piece again when we discovered our measurements were out of whack. Also, while conversing with them, they gave us sheet metal union symbol pieces for our retired family members.
