  • I called Provider name locked. to set up internet at my new house. The service woman told me extreme Internet was $65 a roommate we have the same service and we pay $35...why would the in person price be almost double the online price. I wasted my time by calling and ended up getting the $35 price online. Very frustrating they won't honor the online price over the phone.

  • The main reason things didn't go well is that the TWC approach to customer service is to push additional services on the customer.  Both times I called, the reps wanted to ask me questions about my internet use, number of devices in the home, etc., leading up to offering me "the best option".  For example, the sales rep. offered me a bundle for $103/month, when all I wanted was the internet service for $35!  Even when I called to cancel, I was asked similar questions, which seemed totally irrelevant to cancellation. When I asked who I could contact to file a complaint, I was told I should go to the nearest store to fill out a form--that's ridiculous!  In addition, several personal remarks were made during the sales call that my husband and I found totally irrelevant.  Maybe that's TWC's idea of personalized service, but it didn't work for us.  Finally, the sales reps should have a clear understanding of the installation process, so they don't argue with a customer (as this one did) about what might be required.  That would allow the customer to know the full cost of installation and make an informed decision.  The technician who came out was the only person in this process who seemed to know what to do, and provided excellent customer care.

  • Twenty years ago I began basic tv with Provider name locked. . Three years ago I added internet. The  bill has doubled over that time. I recently bought a new tv and an amplified HDTV antenna. And called to drop the tv cable basic , which sometime over the years they changed the name to starter Tv.  The answer was absolutely NO. They will not turn off the tv cable and they will continue to charge me for it as long as I keep the internet.  I was told it became  a package three years  ago when I added internet and nothing could be changed. They will not let me drop the "bundle" and change to any of the other internet only plans.
I was told it was impossible to separate the services. Well, in the beginning I accepted a trial of a more expensive tv plan and then cancelled it. There was no problem turning that on and then back off and I also installed the internet myself so I don't understand why it is so impossible to separate them now. We talked until I was exhausted. Their idea was to say they could possibly lower my bill maybe $10. Of course that will go up and up. I tried to return  an adapter and it was refused at their office because although it is disconnected at my wall, it is still on and listed on my account. If I don't switch providers they will eventually start charging me rental on the adapter, too.
Over the years I have had reliable internet and been happy with the service. So it is hard to score.  But refusing to let customers adjust their service??
